Needs Updates

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is great in size and close to everything. It is super outdated though. All the appliances need to be replaced, burners on stove don't work, ice maker barely works, half the racks in the refridgerator were missing. Chandelier light wouldn't come on at all. None of the outlets would hold a charger they fall right out of the wall, once we found one that worked, we all had to share to charge our phones. We had a hurricane while there last week, no one at the rental office called to check in and the pool never got cleaned so we didn't get to use it including the surrounding outside area that was full of palm leaves and dirt. All the furniture on the porch and below was thrown about so we had to put all that back together as well. We love this area and have been the last 8 years every summer, but I was really put off by all this with as expensive this area is and things weren't taken care of, houses on both sides of us with different offices were both cleaned after the storm.

The house was even better than the pictures and very clean, bright and cheery! The pool area and the covered area by the pool - top notch!!! The location on the beach was amazing! We had golf carts but you could easily walk to lots of restaurants etc. The rental company as always was great to work with! We would definitely rent this home again. We were all very sad to leave which is an indication of a great family vacation!

The gentleman working at the office let us store our luggage and transported to the house after we had brunch. The house is very spacious. There were eight of us ladies and everyone had their own bed. Being directly on the ocean haves us wonderful views. The house could use some updating. Some fresh paint, new carpeting and updated bathroom’s.

Great house, with awesome view.

The house is big and bright, right on the water. Wide, unobstructed view of the ocean. Lots of natural light. Enough space for a big group. I liked the big open plan for living and kitchen space. It's also walkable distance to some of the restaurants and bars nearby, which is convenient.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this vacation rental for 3 years. Overall we had a great stay. The problems we experienced with this stay: the house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival (East Islands remedied this situation as soon as possible and refunded one night); the HVAC system needs some maintenance, upstairs was inequitable distribution of the air, one side was much warmer than the other. East Islands was great at addressing anything we reported wrong with property in a timely manner.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and floor plan but house and pool suffer from a lack of routine maintenance and upkeep. Carpet throughout the house should have been replaced a few years ago as it's heavily soiled and stained throughout. Dishwasher is new but improperly installed making it a challenge to close. An upright rusty nail on bannister leading to pool was a safety hazard to our toddlers that we corrected on the spot with a makeshift cover.Bathroom off kitchen had ceiling repairs that were never completed and that coupled with old shower doors and other junk stored in the laundry room left us with the perception that renter throughput is far more important to owners than a quality experience for the renter.We found it a bit disingenuous--and it reinforced our perception above-- to advertise a jacuzzi bath in the master bath and then to find a nicely framed sign there, "Jacuzzi Jets Do Not Work."Previous comments called out similar things and at least one response indicates maintenance is planned for the fall and it's sorely needed. There's a difference between worn and neglected and this house suffered from both and detracted from an overall great time.Home condition matters and if choice is made to defer what should be routine maintenance and upkeep, e.g., shampooing carpets and pool landscaping, then it should be disclosed and reflected in some sort of discounted pricing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location. Place needs a little TLC. Could use ceiling fans on the patio and the pool area needs some love. Great water pressure in all the showers. Overall worked out great for a family beach vaca. Could use new chair cushions in the porch. East Islands was VERY receptive to any needs. Would absolutely use them again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful family vacation at 902 Ocean Blvd. We love this house!! It felt like coming home since this was our 4th year staying here.The floor plan is perfect for our family. The pool is great for our little ones. The location right there on the beach is perfect. Our family enjoys every inch of the property. We particularly enjoy the porch for eating family dinners and fellowshipping together. God willing, we will be back next year.The A/C was not cooling well on Thursday. I called and the A/C guy was out within 2 hours!!The new dishwasher is nice. Unfortunately it was difficult to close.The new refrigerator is very nice. A new cook top would be nice.Again, we made wonderful family memories!!
