Enjoy the luxury of open concept living in our vacation home with many amenities including five flat screen tv's with internet and streaming services, seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, 2 gourmet kitchens, wood burning fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Yet, just steps away, the adventure of a walk in the woods beckons you to peacefully step through the canopy of the forest out our back yard. With a ten minute walk, you will see the magnificent Lake Michigan with its white, clean sandy beaches and inspiring sunsets. During the winter, snowshoe through the woods to the dunes to coast down the snow-topped peaks of frosty fun just a few feet away at the dunes. My favorite place is on the screened in porch listening to the waves, the birds and the peace and calm of the tall pines and wooded wonder. On a rainy or cool evening, we love to gather around the wood burning fireplace to tell stories, play games, or play charades. (Board games and charades games are in the house) Life is instantly calmer and more peaceful when you are spending time at Dunehaven. Explore the woods, hike the dunes or just enjoy nature at its best during the day. At night, gaze at the starlit sky amidst the glow of the moon. Our firepit is the perfect gathering place for your family and friends. We even supply the roasting sticks, firewood, benches and seating around the fire in our back yard bordering the state park. Young children enjoy the wonder of nature right outside their back yard. Inside, Dunehaven is a child's delight with a large playroom, video games, toys, a play kitchen, board games, puzzles, bicycles, and even a large red wooden wagon to take our sand buckets, toys and shovels to the beautiful white sand beach. The nearby attractions of Bridgman, New Buffalo and St. Joseph are wonderful tourist communities to explore. In downtown St. Joseph, visit the chocolate cafe, old fashioned five & dime store, fudge/ice cream shop, toy store, bookstore & pet shop.
