This cabin has all the peace and quiet you’re looking for in a vacation rental. The cabin has two acres of property itself and a beautiful view of aspen and pines that you can enjoy while snuggling up to a spacious fire pit. The Island Park area used to be a best kept secret. Now, along highway 20, there’s a constant hum of tourists for the summer. This place offers a break from the hustle and bustle of summer tourists, with a location close enough to enjoy a day trip into Yellowstone National Park. If you want to take a break from the park, there are plenty of local activities and stunning sites to fill your trip. The nearby mountains are full of animals and flowers. A great place to enjoy outdoor games and grill, go for a hike, or hop on your four wheeler with endless dirt roads to explore. Island Park Reservoir is nearby and is the local lake for water recreation. Also plenty of world class rivers and lakes to fish. We recommend calling a local guide shop for tips.

This place was so cute and cozy!! I love how it was true to picture. I also really appreciated how it had everything you could need like, bug spray, extra blankets, all the kitchen supplies and utensils. It even had fire wood ready to go no charge. This place was very clean as well. We had a great time!

Great stay and location!

We stayed here for a week long trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP for our anniversary. Cabin was secluded in a beautiful setting. The cabin is stocked with a lot of great amenities. Island Park is a beautiful town. We would definitely stay here again!

A peaceful stay in the woods.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The bed in the loft was very comfortable and sitting out at the bonfire as the animals around us woke up was very peaceful. Thank you!

Amazing. Just perfect.

The cabin was everything we needed for a week get away. Privacy, amenities, wildlife and location. We had an amazing time and will be back next year. It was PERFECT.

Great little hideaway

We had a great time staying at this cozy cabin in the woods. Everything was very clean and we had everything we could have needed. Super quiet and very beautiful. I would definitely recommend if you want to get away and get out in nature.

Cabin Review

Loved the cabin - so cozy and peaceful, stocked with everything needed. Close to West Yellowstone so we were able to spend our days there and come back and enjoy the quietness and relax. Such a great find! Also loved seeing a momma moose + baby in the yard too!

Fun trip

The location of the property seamed different on the add and we were led to believe that the canoe would be used on the property but we just saw some very wet ground not a lake but still really enjoyed the cabin it was taken good care of

Hello Riley. Thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed your trip. We absolutely do not want to mislead guests. The pin of the address is correct. We have had a few guests use the canoe over the years but never in the marsh land behind the cabin. We never mention anything of using the canoe on the property. Could you please elaborate on how you were led to believe this? I’d be happy to change any wording to make sure guests receive what they expect. Thanks again, and safe travels.

We stayed for two nights. It is a great little getaway with a fire pit. Clean and comfortable. We didn’t fully consider what it would be like climbing up and down a loft ladder to use the restroom in the night! But, would recommend for the young and spry! Thanks 😊

Nice getaway

My two boys (9/12) and I stayed here in July. The place is small, but worked for what we needed. We enjoyed using the grill at night and had dinner on the picnic table next to the fire. Getting in and out is a little tough, the roads are pretty bumpy - we had rented a truck for our trip...a sedan might not fare as well on the roads, so keep that in mind. The communication was great, pictures accurate and about a 45 minute drive to the West Yellowstone entrance.

Stunning, remote, cozy and perfect

Our stay was absolutely perfect. This cabin was cozy and remote with all the amenities necessary for comfort. The beds were so so comfortable and a great bathroom with excellent water pressure etc. This place is less than an hour from Yellowstone and two or so from the Tetons. Perfect place. Island Park has fantastic parks and some good places to eat and groceries. If we return to the area, I would stay here in a heartbeat. Gorgeous and peaceful. If you are not used to remote roads, would recommend a 4WD vehicle, but it's probably doable in a car, we saw plenty!

A+ for quiet and seclusion

We are 58 and 60, and stayed for a weekend. The property was quiet and beautiful, and we had all that we needed. I deducted 1 star for the roads (very rutted), but that is not within the owner’s control. Note: if you are scared of heights, you need to know that the main bedroom is in a loft, and you must climb a ladder. After a few climbs, I was okay with it.

Cabin in the woods

Everything was great! The only issue we had was with the roads to the cabin. They are unpaved and with the recent rains were difficult to maneuver. Otherwise everything was wonderful and we even woke up our first morning to see a mama moose and her baby feeding right on the property.

Nice cabin in the woods

The communication with the owner/manager of the property was perfect. They were very responsive answering in less than an hour and provided very helpful information. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well equipped. It was easy to connect to the Wi-Fi, which was necessary as there is no mobile coverage in the area. When I booked this reservation, I had no idea how large the area of island Park Idaho actually was. I would note that the location is somewhat remote and about 13-14 miles or 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store. All that being said, it was impressively quiet at night and the Owner/manager did everything within their power to make it a great stay.

Great isolated cabin experience

This cabin is really nice for some peace and quiet, you don’t hear anything and it’s a great break. The cabin is cute, clean, and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable in the woods. The communication with the property manager was great he was always responding within minutes of any questions or concern and we felt very very well taken care of. The ONLY draw back is the distance from Yellowstone, it’s an hour drive to the park then once you get to the park it’s two hours to get into the park. That’s not the fault of this VRBO at all but just a heads up. Still five star worthy

Ashley, We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for treating it like your home. That’s a bummer you had to spend so much time in the car on your day of going into the park. What happens is everyone has their breakfast and heads in, so usually between 8am-11am it is a jam of visitors. I’m assuming you were in this line of cars? I occasionally guide in the park for fly fishing trips at 7am to 7:30am and have no wait at the entrance. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will emphasize to visitors to get a very early start or wait until lunch hours to enter, if possible.
