Family Vacation at Huron

Generally speaking it was a good place to stay for our family. We had some issues but they were addressed relatively quickly and we were thankful for that.. It was a bit pricey but for our larger family and not booking until a few months before, we were willing to pay more. We very much enjoyed the beach and the spaciousness of the living area for our grandchildren to enjoy.

Fantastic location!

You can’t beat the location of this property! The lake/beach on one side and bars and restaurants on the other. Huron is a cute, quaint, hidden gem with the friendliest locals. The layout is perfect for large groups with a massive first floor open floorplan featuring a spacious kitchen, 1/2 bath and tons of seating. The large master with huge closet and full bathroom are also on the first floor. This room does not have full window coverings at the top so does let in early morning light if you are a west coaster like us. The basement level features a long hallway with various doors to 5 bedrooms, 1 full bath and 1 half bath. And a laundry / entertainment room (it was musty so we didn’t go in there much). The only miss was on cleanliness of the general spaces - the deck was covered in cobwebs and chair cushions were quite dirty. The inside window sills had many, many dead bugs. Several of the doors had cobwebs at the top both outside and inside. I would expect better cleaning of the entire property for the price of the unit and cleaning fee. There are also limited towels (for a large group) and no beach towels to be found. We brought our own beach towels but the listing does say they are included. Overall it is a wonderful property due to location, responsive owner and great first floor layout and we would stay again!

Excellent Staycation

Great property for family gathering! My children and grandkids stayed at this comfortable spacious home and had a great time! Especially fishing!

Wonderful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house and location are truly even better than we anticipated. Having never been to Huron, we did not know what to expect. The proximity of this house to the restaurants, coffee shop, bars and pier is wonderful. The house is well appointed with necessities and easily sleeps quite a few people. Our children enjoyed the freedom of being able to walk to the beach and seeing beautiful Lake Erie, while the adults were able to relax and enjoy the porch.

Beautiful view!

This property is great for our family! The open floorplan was awesome. I didn't care for the high top dining room table and chairs, or the that their was on streaming options on the t.v. but overall this property is excellent and we all had a great time!
