NOTE: USNA COMMISSIONING WEEK RENTAL requires a minimum of 5 nights between May 16 and May 23. Maximum sleeping capacity is 10, please.
This clean, peaceful, 5 BR, 4 BA house features a waterfront view from 2 spacious decks in a quiet community. Perfect for families or small groups, like book clubs or reunions!
BEDROOMS: 5 BRs w 4 queens and 1 full-over-full bunk bed sleep up to 10 guests. Denver Mattress Company mattresses & soft Supima cotton sheets comfort you, every night. BR 1 & BR 2 have private BAs. BR 1, BR 2 & BR 3 have private sliding doors leading onto the lower deck with its water front view. BR 4 (full-over-full bunk bed) & BR 5 (queen bed) front a quiet, single lane road.
ATTRACTIONS: 15-min drive to Naval Academy & downtown Annapolis. 8-min drive to Quiet Waters Park. 5-min drive to a Giant grocery, Starbucks, restaurants & a pharmacy. 5-min walk to historic Highland Beach & the Chesapeake Bay.
DINING AREA: Perfect for cooking & eating together! Dining table with 8 chairs and 4 bar stools nearby at the counter. Deck chairs & a foldable table make deck meals a convenient option.
KITCHEN: Top floor, NUT-FREE, well-stocked, well-equipped kitchen has plenty of chef’s items in the pantry, new electric range & granite countertops. The sink has an Instant Hot and an under-the-sink reverse osmosis water system. The Bosch dishwasher is so quiet that you’ll barely hear it cleaning for you.
TOP FLOOR: Open floor design to maximize waterfront view. Regulation-size ping pong table, TV, games & puzzles are available. Top floor has a bright, gourmet kitchen, full BA & home office/fitness room. Half-covered upper deck for outdoor relaxation.
NEIGHBORHOOD: Scenic, low-traffic street popular with joggers. 5-min walk to Chesapeake Bay & to the historic Highland Beach community.
VIEW: 100-ft waterfront view with a Living Shoreline and a wildlife critical area. Turtles or ducks may visit at high tide. Hummingbirds, butterflies & more may visit the pollinator-friendly garden. Either deck or large backyard are ideal for family games, meditation, yoga or tai chi. Postcard sunset! No pier.
WATER: All household water arrives filtered and drinkable from the well. The kitchen has an under-the-sink reverse osmosis system and an Instant Hot.
WIFI: Free to our guests & provided by Verizon.
EXTRAS: hair dryer, iron & ironing board, deck chairs & garage use. Generous driveway & street parking accommodate 5 cars.
NOTE: Due to a child's allergy, this is a NUT-FREE VACATION HOUSE. Do not bring nuts inside, please.

Great house for a larger group. Love the neighborhood and water views. The host was very proactive, and we were surprised to find a kitchen stocked with food and little gifts! This is a small thing, but a lot of rentals don't do it - all the bedrooms had blackout curtains! Overall, great experience and would rent again if we came back to town.

Sibling Weekend

Loved the spaciousness, water view and proximity to Eastport and Annapolis. Was perfect for the 5 adult couples in our siblings reunion. Would certainly recommend this house to others.

Beautiful home with views overlooking a scenic picturesque view of the water. Two beautiful decks overlooking nature's sunrise and AMAZING sunsets. 5 couples returning to Annapolis to celebrate our 35th reunion from the United States Naval Academy. Upon arrival, the houuse was immaculate. Clean and the owners even purchased some supplies to welcome us. We spent numerous evenings enjoying cocktails and old stories. The house was accommodating and coffee overlooking the water was special for each of us!We will DEFINITELY stay again. One of the BEST hidden gems in Annapolis!

Wonderful house! Convenient location!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home tucked away in a historic and scenic beachside community. The beds were great; kitchen excellently supplied; and the back deck provides a beautiful view. It’s an easy drive to historic Annapolis. Great overall experience! Thank you!

A Wonderful Family Gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our family gathering in this beautiful home. It was spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous view. We relaxed and played games and utilized the gorgeous kitchen to prepare our family meals. We are all so grateful for having been able to be together in such a perfect setting.

Sailing weekend in Annapolis

Our sailing team very much enjoyed our stay, the house is very new and everything is super clean and is in great condition. It was a great quiet location for our team to unwind after long days on the water. The ping pong table provided some great competition. The large kitchen was clean and well stocked.

Perfection!!!

This pristine, spacious home on a beautiful, sparkling, quiet cove is an ideal getaway! The homeowners are so thoughtful and their attention to detail and comfort for their guests is the best we've ever seen! We rent quite a bit in the Annapolis area...this is by far THE BEST VRBO!!

Relaxing and Peaceful Stay

The space was as advertised and quite lovely. The location is perfect and the view of the water is peaceful and beautiful. The home is comfortable and has all the amenities needed. The kitchen was large and accommodated our entire group. I appreciated the history and references to African American history and lineage. We will definitely book again.

Nice long weekend in Annapolis

Overall, the house was as described and very comfortable! The decks had nice views of the water. The kitchen was very well stocked and all guests felt very comfortable. The neighbors were also very kind. Only criticism we had is we traveled with a young infant who needed a pack n play. I think an improvement for this property would include a basic pack play with a sheet and a high chair as it is hard to bring these items when traveling on flight, which we had to bring ourselves.

Overall, a great stay w/small caveats...

Overall, it was a great house and great stay... I would rent again if I was in the area b/c it was a great location...Small caveats... Property advertised as waterfront which it is but the waterfront directly in front of the property is completely blocked by trees... Property also advertised as having two decks but there was no furniture on the decks... There were some plastics chairs in an upstairs closet but not quite the same as some deck furniture... Finally, there was a leak under the kitchen sink while we were there and instead of sending a plumber we were told to turn off a valve, find the leak and put something under the sink to catch the water... I was surprised they didn't send a plumber to fix it but we were only staying a couple nights...The host was easy to communicate w/and did let us check in a couple hours earlier then the stated check in time... They offered for us to stay longer on check out day as well but we had already left...

Quiet on the water

The house was perfect for our family of six. We used each of the five bedrooms. This house is new, with a great layout and decks on two levels that overlook the water. The kids 8 and 11 (and some adults) played ping pong, which was an added treat. The kitchen is roomy and served us well. We only made breakfast, but it would have been perfect for making more substantial meals. We spent much of the time touring Annapolis and on the water, a convenient distance from the VRBO. A ride on the skipjack Wilma Lee was a highlight. If you want a clean, comfortable and relaxing get away, I recommend this property.

Family Fall Retreat @ Thanksgiving

The property was lovely. The host paid a lot of attention to details & comfort. We sincerely appreciated their hospitality. There were two small items present but they did not affect an enjoyable stay for our family. (1) - The treads on the very top step of each of the beautiful hardwood flights of stairs were loose and could be hazardous. (2) - We could not get the garbage disposal in that very beautiful kitchen to work. All-in-all, it was a lovely and enjoyable property.

Annapolis gathering

Our stay in Annapolis was a short and sweet 3-day visit for a wedding--my original focus was to have enough space for everyone to get ready without waiting in line. The property provided so much more than enough room. The entire house was very clean, well-appointed, and smartly laid out. The kitchen was stock with a wide range of food to get the weekend started off without the need to spend hours in the local grocery store. Throw in a great ping-pong table to make it even more fun. My only two minor suggestions would add some comfortable Polywood deck furnishings and possibly another tv or two. Bottomline: Worth every penny and we're looking forward to a return trip much sooner than later.
