Historic Selkirk Lighthouse- 1ST FLOOR ONLY

Relax and unwind at this iconic, one-of-a-kind getaway. The historic Selkirk Lighthouse, built in 1838 at the mouth of the Salmon River, offers stunning views overlooking the water. As one of only two remaining “birdcage” light towers in the entire United States, it’s a rare treasure—and a climb to the top is exclusively available to our overnight guests.

Your stay will be in the first floor of the lighthouse, which comfortably accommodates up to four guests. It features a full kitchen, a newly renovated bathroom with a shower, a dining area, and a cozy living room with a pull-out double sofa bed. The bedroom includes a comfortable double bed, perfect for a restful night after a day of exploring.

Additional amenities include central air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a picnic table, fire pit, and grill—everything you need for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

A Truly Unique Rental

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Selkirk Lighthouse. Christian and Abby are the consummate hosts and responded to all of our questions very quickly and offered suggestions about the salmon fishing. They could not have been nicer! Staying in the 1838 Lighthouse was such a cool experience. The house is well appointed, but also has so much character. We took the tour of the the top of the Light with Christian (highly recommended), which added to the vibe of history and mystic of the place. We would definitely book again!

I have been to many lighthouses and had stayed at another lighthouse B&B in the past. This one really lacked any privacy. The part I couldn’t handle was the bed. We had 2 nights reserved but only stayed the first night and then chose to leave. The full size bed was very hard and uncomfortable and squeaked terrible with any turn at all. The pull out sofa was terrible so my husband slept on the sofa and was also very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
