Discover this 170-acre Early American town featuring 18th-century English architecture restored to its original condition, historic museums, monuments and fascinating battlefields which tell the dramatic story of our country’s birth.

Peacefully situated amid 256 acres of rolling woodland hills, and boasting all the character of a distinguished manor house, The Historic Powhatan Resort captures the essence of its Colonial surroundings. Sumptuous, spacious accommodations offer a private balcony or patio. Originally built circa 1735, this restored manor house offers a serene getaway during any season.

With activities to entertain the entire family, The Historic Powhatan Resort offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis, an outdoor pavilion and a playground. Dine in The Powhatan Bar and Grille, or enjoy our new coffee house, The Historic Grounds. The property has no elevators. Clean and well-equipped

Fine location for touring Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown. Our unit faced a lovely wooded area, with a nice little deck to sit outside. Convenient parking, nearby grocery stores.

Better than I hope for

Great location, very easy to get to most local attractions. Unit was clean and updated and had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful the majority of the time. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you!

Powhatan Plantation

We’ve stayed at this resort many times over the years. We love all the things to do and the lovely grounds with formal gardens and original manor house. This particular unit was fine but could have been furnished with things such as sugar, teabags, cooking oil, etc. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

First timer

Property was clean and amenities were very good.. The second bedroom was supposed to have a queen bed but had two twins.. No problem since my spouse was unable to travel this time but had she come along it would have been an issue.. Trust me. Walls are paper thin and the family that arrived at midnight kept us awake until 2am..

Loved the pool

The buildings and neighborhood grounds are very well kept up and very nice. Beautiful! That coffee shop has so much potential with a lovely patio, but only one barista, dark atmosphere. This patio should be cleaned well and used for numerous things and we would have gone. The pool was great. Extra crowded, but well controlled and felt as clean as it could be with so many people. Towels at the pool were nice. Loved the beer and cocktails there. As far as our unit, it was clean and had everything that we needed. Easy everything. However, it’s very dark inside. The patio would have been great, but it was very dirty with cicada wings and carcasses. No fault of the owner that it is high cicada season and there is no way to stay on top of that this time of year. Overall a really good stay.
