The Mark at Surfside, Apt. 5

This is a fully remodeled spacious studio unit. Located upstairs, this open room features a comfortable queen bed and a futon for additional seating or sleeping space. The full bathroom includes a bathtub and comes stocked with bath towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap for your convenience.

For your dining needs, there is a small kitchenette equipped with a coffee pot and filters (please bring your own favorite coffee grounds), toaster, microwave, mini refrigerator, and dishes.

Stay connected with the Roku smart TV and Wi-Fi included in your stay. Outside, you'll find chairs and a small table for your personal use, and a shared outdoor area with picnic tables and charcoal grills for some outdoor fun. Just remember to bring your own charcoal and grilling utensils if you plan to use the grills.

Our location is convenient with restaurants, a convenience store, and a liquor store nearby. Plus, the beach is just a short walk away, less than a block from the property! Leave your vehicle in one of our two shared parking lots and spend your day at the beach or purchase a Surfside Beach permit from local stores to drive your vehicle onto the beach.

*The Village of Surfside has always had issues with its water. It has a bit of an off color, odor and flavor. We have installed a filtration system to help with this and the water is safe for use, but it doesn't fully remove these issues. Please look to bring bottled water if this will be an issue so that you have access to it.*

Perfect Weekend Getaway Find

The Mark is exactly as advertised and just what we were looking for for our beach weekend getaway. Very comfortable, clean, close to the beach, and easy to access. The hosts are so hospitable and extremely communicative. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

Nice place, clean, convenient to beach. Easy and good communication with host. Only suggestion is bring your own cooking and drinking water. Local water is disgusting.

Quaint and comfortable

This little space has been updated so it’s very nice, it’s small so if it’s just a couple or a single person then it’s perfect; however, I feel that 3 people would be too crowded. The host communicated well, check-in was smooth and simple and the entire unit was clean!

Very nice!

This apartment was very clean and comfortable! The host was very good about checking on us and making sure all was going well! Great place to go to after a day at the beach. Very relaxing! Would definitely stay here again!

Room was nice. They are still working on renovations on the property so you can hear them working until around 10 pm. Room was very nice and clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Our unit was totally redone, new kitchen, bath, floors etc. The Unit was spotless and well appointed. Short walk to the beach and short drive to the Inter Costal Water. Really nice linens. We would definitely stay again.

Great little studio space close to the beach.

Great little unit within walking distance of the beach. Very clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay again. Our only complaint was no coffee cups in the kitchen. Location is good, but is on the corner of busy highway. Our room was on the highway end and was a little noisy at times.

Loved it!

Great little place. Very clean, Easy access to the beach, just a short walk. I would have been nice to know that it was a drip coffee maker. My K-cups weren't ideal. I would highly recommend it and will use them again. The host Marcus, was in communication often to make sure my stay was comfortable.

An awesome beach vacation

I can't say enough good things about this property. As soon as we walked in the door, we said "Wow! This is awesome." Honestly nicer than most of the hotels that we have stayed at. Clean, fresh, new, well kept, it has it all. There was plenty of parking and close to so many things to do. Being able to walk down to the end of the street and hit the beach made it so easy. You will not be disappointed booking here. Marcus was super communicative to make sure we had a great trip as well. A+ experience and I look forward to booking here again the next time we vacation in Galveston.

A great "book" - don't judge it by its cover

It may not look like much from the outside, but it's a gem on the inside. They have taken care to make it clean and homey with nice finishing touches. The beds were comfortable, and the location can't be beat. It's just a short walk to the beach, with no busy streets to cross. The five star rating is about the value, because we got a great deal. Driving up to it, you might think a five star rating is crazy. But trust me, the inside is great.
