This home is 3rd row - set on a quiet neighborhood street and only steps to the beautiful ocean. Come see the quiet and calm life of Oak Island!

Near by is the walkway across the inter coastal waterway. Also located close to the pier. 1.5 miles to Middleton park and the town park/splash pad. A short drive from Southport with many cute shops and charming eateries.


More details:

This home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. It can comfortably sleep 2 families. In the downstairs, there is another bedroom and half bathroom. There is not, however, an internal staircase between the 2 floors.

As you enter the property, the front door opens into an open area with the living room, kitchen, and dining room all in one large space. To the right you’ll find the bedrooms. The back of the house has a deck that is perfect for sharing a cold drink after a long day at the beach.

Down the stairs you’ll find another outdoor seating area and then inside to a secondary living room, ping pong table, and the bonus bedroom.

The front of the house has an outdoor shower for getting the sand off your toes - or a full blown shower as it has a hot water line.

We are thrilled to share our little piece of heaven with you!

PS. The name of our home is from the country music song by Dierks Bentley - our oldest daughters favorite song and her first ever concert. She is so proud to have this cute little beach cottage named after one of our favorite family memories!!

Back to Oak Island

Our family gathered at Oak Island for many years, but we stopped after our aunt passed away and her cottage was sold. Imagine our surprise to find the same house on VRBO. We spent two weeks there with several family members visiting during that time. What a wonderful vacation! Laura was a gracious and responsive host. It's great to know the old place is in the hands of new owners committed to making it the site of happy memories for years to come.

Girls getaway success

The property was older as the description had indicated. The sitting area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were very clean. You could hear the ocean on the back porch, which was relaxing. We enjoyed our stay. I communicated with the owner and she was very quick to respond.

Cute and clean!

We had a wonderful time on our beach vacation! The house was cute, clean and a short, easy walk to the beach. It was a perfect home for our four kids with multiple sleeping arrangements for all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The ease of communication with Laura was incredibe. Highly recommend this host and this home.

The host was very responsive. She also allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier than advertised which we really appreciated. When we got to the property, it was very dirty and had a strong scent of mothballs throughout the entire house. The floors looked like they had not been swept, and the couches were covered in crumbs. We also moved the area rug in the living area as it had a lot of sandspurs that were imbedded into it that were painful to step on. When we moved the rug, it looked like it had not been swept under in months. We were only staying two nights, so this wasnt the end of the world for us, but I didnt expect to clean the entire property upon arrival. We also were not able to utilize the entire bottom floor, due to there not being heat down there so we were down a bedroom. It was below freezing temps the weekend we were there so that area was entirely too cold to be in. The house itself is very outdated. There were electrical wires hanging from the ceiling in the living area. Blue painters tape was attempting to hold curtains shut and secure runners to the floor which did not work. I would have liked the property to be cleaner for the price paid, especially in the off season.

Air conditioning

I might have read it wrong but i was alittle disappointed with the air for the downstairs area. The air conditioning was not working. And the window units did not work all the time. The owners were wonderful to work with and the place was very clean and the location was fantastic
