disappointed
The bird cage over pool was gone, which owners told us. However, both gates on the fence around the property were busted off and a big chunk of fence in one area gone. We felt unsafe. Bathrooms were very small. Main bath was full of ants (gross) and tub was plugged up. Hole in wall and ants were crawling out of it, they went from bathroom out to the kitchen near refrigerator. (Caretaker fixed tub drain). Towel bar kept falling off in Main bath. Master bathroom shower had no holders for soap or toiletries, had to put them on the floor of shower. No shelves or hooks to put toiletries or hang up clothes in either bathroom. Master bathroom vanity was newer, but no place to put toiletries and was not hooked to wall securely. Had to put everything on the floor in bathrooms. Towel bar loose and ready to fall off. Washer and dryer worked well, just dated. Except dryer did not stop tumbling when opening door. I didn't realize this, put my arm in to take clothes out and just about took my arm off. The street outside of the house sounded like a drag race. It was so loud throughout the day and evening. Kitchen, living room and dining room were good. Bedrooms were very small, master bedroom was good, mattresses were good and pillows, sheets, towels clean and comfortable. Pool was very nice, however seemed cold to me, but it was cooler that week in Florida. It was advertised heated. All in all, the photos provided on VRBO made home look much nicer and bigger than then it actually was. The caretaker, Monica was good about trying to help us. She responded quickly. I would not stay there again for the money we spent. We were disappointed. We were really looking forward to a nice place for over $2000.00 for 7 nights. I trusted the reviews and the photos. We were disappointed.
