Hill Hideaway Cottage Unit 2

Please note: We are Friday to Friday rental only in the months of June, July & August.
We rent by the month in the off season! We are close to the Hospital.

Located in Minocqua, WI!
2 bedroom 2 bath, 2 minute drive to Walmart and close to bars, restaurants, retail shops and more! This unit is located in a side by side duplex. This is unit 2. Unit 1 is also available to rent if you need more space! Message us for availability.

Hill Lake is a 33 acre lake that is known for phenomenal fishing, or you can row out on our provided kayaks. Includes outdoor patio, fire pit, charcoal grill and window AC units! Hill Lake is not really a swimmable lake, but it's great for fishing and kayaking!

Please note: The dock area, firepit area & Kayaks are all shared with Unit 1. There are a total of 6 kayaks available. 5 adult and 1 kids kayak.

Our home is furnished with all you need to cook at home or enjoy many of the local dining areas just minutes away!

Bedroom 2- Twin XL bunk bed

Smart lock keypad, you will receive check-in instructions 1 day before arrival.

Our neighbors do have dogs, but they are all fenced in. Otherwise, very quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

Address is 8648 Ranchwood Rd. Minocqua, WI. This is unit #2. This is a Friday to Friday, week long rental only in the summer. We rent by the month in the off seasons to traveling professionals.

Cute little duplex. Newly renovated. Close to town. It was a hike to the lake and the dock could use some maintenance. I was disappointed that we did not know that the central air did not work, as that was one reason why we chose to stay there. Yes there were window air conditioners, but it never got below 72 degrees in the cottage…too hot to sleep decent. Also, there were lots of flies that would get in the cottage. At one time I counted 10. (I know it’s the time of year) and there was no fly swatter that I could find. Overall, I would stay there again if the central air were fixed.

Perfect!!

This was just perfect! Extremely clean, cottage style, yet modern conveniences and just darling decor! (Not too feminine tho, Guys!) The peace and quiet of this property was just the ticket. Super close to groceries and all the stuff you forgot to pack (lol) and yet very quiet and peaceful. Oh! And a very comfy mattress and cozy throw blankets! A definite A++ from me and cant wait go visit again!

Overall positive, with minor issues

Overall the place was very nice and cozy. The listing was spot on for the inside and the overall feel of the place. Bathrooms and bedrooms were nice and all the amenities worked fine. Very nice short drive into town as well. However both neighbors were problematic. The neighbor in the attached unit came out right after we got there (approximately 2pm) and was in his underwear. Although he was friendly, it was a very odd sight for the first thing after arriving. The across the street neighbor has 3 outdoor dogs. This massively disrupted our dogs as they would bark randomly, including at night. Lastly, the lake was EXTREMELY muddy and was not swimable by either dogs or humans (or at least I don't think would be clean or healthy). So overall positive but surrounding factors ruined some of the experience.

Clear Trail Properties is owned by a family from southern Wisconsin. Buck, Ashley & Korbin (pictured below). They have a passion for the outdoors which didn't exactly fit the landscape southern Wisconsin had to offer. They knew they needed to find a place so perfect that it had to fit their outdoor lovers dreams. That is when they began traveling to the U.P. and northern Wisconsin and history was made.

Buck, Ashley & Korbin are avid snowmobilers, but they love the summer months as well as; hiking, biking and kayaking. They have spent many seasons traveling to the U.P. and northern Wisconsin. They love everything it has to offer. The scenery is breathtaking and is so peaceful. It makes you forget about everything else for that moment in time.
