Villa Brod - Historic villa with character - garden, fireplace, and fantastic location
This charming, 400-year-old villa, once a parsonage next to a Baroque church, is the perfect retreat for families, groups of friends, or anyone who wants to enjoy peace, space, and nature. Perched on a hill, the villa is ideal for family gatherings, small weddings, celebrations, or simply relaxing days together.
The spacious garden features a sandbox, swings, a trampoline, and a ping-pong table—fun for kids and adults alike is guaranteed. Relax under the pergola or enjoy meals together outdoors at seating for up to 20 people, complete with a grill and a draft beer dispenser.
Inside, you’ll find five cozy bedrooms as well as a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 12 people (which can be extended for larger groups if needed). The bedrooms offer 14 sleeping spots, heated by wood-burning stoves and electric heaters. Additional sleeping space is available on the tiled stove, and in the summer, two more rooms in the attic provide a total of six extra beds. Due to historic preservation regulations, only two bathrooms were permitted—thus preserving the villa’s historic character.
Families particularly appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, while nature lovers can enjoy walks in the nearby forest or along the Hammer River. A flooded quarry lake, ideal for swimming, is about a 15-minute drive away or a pleasant walk. The location also makes it easy to take trips to spa towns like Mariánské Lázně, as well as day trips to monasteries, castles, historic towns, and nature reserves. In the summer, canoe trips and bike rides invite you to actively explore the surrounding area.
Between 2000 and 2010, the villa was lovingly restored by a family with four children and saved from decay. The parents now live in a newly built house on the property—your privacy is assured, but assistance is available at any time if needed.
This unique villa combines history, comfort, and a wide range of recreational activities—for an unforgettable stay.
