Porte Noire Gardens hosts are here for you! We will interact to keep you informed but we only aim to assist, not harass. When guests stay at Porte Noire, they decide the level of communication they want with their host. We are here to serve your needs, within reason, as best as we possibly can.

This 14+ acre outdoor sanctuary boasts:
- a 10+ acre, 200+ year old arboretum of beautiful native NC trees and forestry
- 2 miles of walking/hiking/riding trails that run along (3) merging creeks! Bring your walking or hiking shoes, or haul in your dirt bikes and ATVs and enjoy some rugged outdoor FUN!
- seasonal edible garden spaces at your fingertips
- (2) outdoor lounging/entertaining bungalows
- Furnished front patio with solar evening/night time lighting and heaters
- Furnished back deck with fire pit, grill, dining table and ample seating
- 8 to 10 person , safety screened Trampoline
- Walk in greenhouse for transitional horticulture projects
- 10k+ reflection pond, great for meditation and stocked with baby turtles and frogs!

Porte Noire is located in the up and coming small town of Franklinton, and is located less than a mile from their lively and developing walk/shop/dine downtown.
*2 minutes driving distance from downtown Franklinton, approx. 10 minutes walking

What To Expect Visually at The Porte each season?

SEASONAL LANDSCAPE VIBEZ:
- Winter Views look like - the forest and open grounds have a fresh coat of leaves carpeting her floor. The panoramic view is spectacular as the sunrises and sunsets dance across the canopy of trees.

- Spring Views look like - the green starts rolling in. As the days grow longer the creek line forestry leaves come out first, and every day the green just keeps on coming!
