Lake Hudson Grand Lodge - 3 bed 2.5 bath Log Home

If peace and relaxation are what you are looking for, this is your place. The Lake Hudson Grand Lodge is an authentic hand-hewn log cabin with spectacular views of Lake Hudson. Every log has been crafted by hand and specifically positioned just like the early American pioneers did. Every bit of this cabin was designed to honor nature while providing modern amenities. We are located 2 miles south of Strang and 3 miles to the Strang boat ramp.

This log home features:
- Large entertainment back deck overlooking Lake Hudson
- Outdoor dining tables
- Outdoor sectional couches
- 2 large hammocks
- Private screened back deck off the Master Bedroom
- 2 interior electric fireplaces
- 1 exterior electric fireplace
- Large Fire Pit with seating

Note: I provide bed space & linens for 11 guests, but you may bring up to 20 guests so long as you provide travel or air mattresses & linens for your extra guests.

Pets are not allowed at this property. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the cabin. A lease agreement & Security Deposit of $500 is required. The water source is the Rural Water District.

Cozy New Year’s Getaway at a Charming Cottage

We spent New Year’s at this lovely cottage and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The home is exactly as described—sparkling clean, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. We loved waking to quiet mornings with beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped for our holiday meals, and there were plenty of extra blankets and mattresses. Check-in was seamless, and the host’s communication was excellent—clear instructions . The location strikes the perfect balance: peaceful and private. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing winter getaway; we’d love to return.

The private of the cabin was secluded very well….. It was literally in the middle of nowhere and that’s what he liked….. The cabin was very very clean…. Which that’s what we like….. the whole cabin experience was perfect!! and being around our children and our grandchildren we don’t always do that all altogether and the grandchildren that we came down to see in Selena Oklahoma. It was perfect.!

Perfect family getaway

Great property in a wonderful setting. Away from the hustle of life but close enough to dining, grocery stores, and other stores like Wal-Mart to make getting supplies easy. The cabin is laid out very well and furnished nicely. We had family come in from out of state and wanted a place that everyone could relax and enjoy each others company! This was the place. The kids loved exploring outside. No issues we will be back!

Very secluded family adventure

Enjoyed the 1/2 mile rock drive through the trees getting to the cabin, saw several deer and squirrels along the way. Nice big genuine log cabin with lots of lodge decor. Good size deck for spending the afternoon and evening outside and a good sized fire pit for when it gets dark. Wish we could have burned wood in the deck fireplace but oh well. The area is very secluded, didn’t see anyone all weekend. We had perfect fall weather and spectacular views out front through the woods and out back overlooking the lake and sunset!

Peaceful and comfortable

This is a wonderful place for a family vocation. An amazing log house located in the forest. During our stay we were able to enjoy birdsong and see many wild animals around the house. At the same time, the house is very comfortable, and it has everything you need for a holiday with the whole family. Vicki is friendly and responsive host. We highly recommend this place to stay.

OMG! What a view!

This place is so amazing! We wanted to stay at an awesome place, and this one delivered! First, the decorating is on-point with a log cabin. So many neat additions and cozy. The beds were extremely comfy, I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. The kitchen had everything I needed. The deck was our favorite spot because of the view of the lake. Deer everywhere and so much peace. We will be back.

Beautiful home and gorgeous views

The house and property were outstanding. We had a bit of a struggle getting into the house when we got there, the door was hard to open and we were afraid to push too hard because we didn't want to damage the door but our host returned our message and let me know we had to push hard. We went out for groceries that evening and when we returned the gate to the driveway was padlocked so we had to get in contact with our host again and she got back with us and told us where the master key was but it would have been nice to have that info up front. We had a 2 year old with us and we did have to keep a close eye on him, there's a gorgeous, steep spiral staircase in the home and outside on the deck the balcony railing doesn't go all the way to the floor so I was a little nervous about that (I also may be a over protective MiMi too 🙂). We seen lots of deer and the kitchen was awesome. We had a great weekend there. The check out time of 10 am I thought was a tad early cause on vacation noone wants to get up early just so we can have everything done and out the door by 10.

We are Air Force veterans who were moved around the country. Of all the places we had lived, we decided to make Oklahoma our home after we retired from active service.

The home is hand-crafted from full northern pine logs, 5-7 years dead standing hand-peeled, hand-notched, and chinked. One look at this home and we just couldn't resist. We had to purchase it. And we are so glad we did. Little did we know how peaceful and quiet this property is, and how much wildlife we would see. We have deer that hang out with us in the yard, while we are 50 feet away from them. Every summer we get lots of fawns as well. Hummingbirds hover just a foot away and drink up the nectar in the feeders. We have hundreds of species of birds some of which I have never seen before. The coolest, in my opinion, are the bald eagles that nest just down the road. You'll see them soaring over the lake fishing. I love sitting on the front deck watching the deer eat the corn from the feeder and the birds taking their baths in the garden's bird bath. Sadly I can't enjoy this retreat as much as I want because I have a job. So when I'm not using it, I get to offer this gem to you to enjoy. All I ask is that you respect the wildlife, the home, and refill the hummingbird nectar if it starts to run out. I have extra in the fridge and the recipe is in the house manual. Those little guys drink a lot! But they are so cool to watch.
