We agree that our property is very relaxing and the outdoor spaces are truly a bonus for our guests. Ephraim is the Hallmark village of the Door Peninsula. It's like walking through a movie set. Delighted you enjoyed the opportunity to venture by foot to all that the Village offers. Yes, Fireside North cottage is a bit on the smaller side, but we hope that with all there is to do, you spent most of your vacation stay enjoying Door County and the Ephraim Village Cottages property.

Olivia - thank you for taking the time to review. Remember, that when booking through a third party app, the third party app has to make money so they add fees to your stay that your host has no control over and that are not part of a direct rental stay.

Hi Scott and thank you for a 5 star review which we are so very grateful for. I wish we could do something about the living space size but if you can imagine, the first floor use to be the entire unit including a bedroom. Our family added the second story to give it more room. But we understand it is still a cozy fit for guests. So glad you stayed with us. We are changing the decor inside the cottage, some of the furniture, and renaming it to Fireside North. Ephraim Village Cottages is great for a short or long stay and most definitely the perfect say for a first time visit in Door County. Our property is an original going back 3 generations. So glad you stayed.

How does a host even begin to express our gratefulness for this amazingly friendly, wonderful, awesome guest? Angela and her family are simply the best. So happy they stayed with us. And were so kind to share pictures of making Door County memories that last a lifetime with us. Super spectacular people. Looking forward to their next stay!

Our 10 cottages are primarily booked direct by guests, however, we have a few of them on third party platforms like VRBO and one other. Unfortunately, the third party platforms pull our "information" from our direct booking platform and sends it to VRBO guests and we have no way to stop it. That is why, on the direct booking platform messages, we ask guests to please follow information sent through the booking platform you used. We do not have a window A/C unit in the one bedroom because that is the window that the fire escape ladder (kept in the bureau) would use if needed. That window does not have a storm window on it so it can be opened all day/night if a guest wanted. We provide fans in all rooms and we leave the A/C on in our cottages so all cottages are cooled down prior to a guests arrival. Removing all wall decor does not make sense. Not sure why you would suggest that we leave plain walls in our guest cottages. We are working on changing our towel bars in the cottages but have more pressing repairs and upgrades on the 3 acre property with 10 cottages that was neglected for 14 years before we bought in 2020. We are glad you had a great experience.
