Relaxing near Pigeon Forge

Loved the river that ran behind the house. The location was between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Great location! Quiet area, felt remote even though it only took a few minutes to get to Pigeon Forge. We took 20 high school seniors for a senior trip. They loved exploring the area around the house and had a great time doing all kinds of fun things in town! Thank you for a great stay! The only thing I would say that didn't work well, was the tiny kitchen and lack of large pots and pans to cook for a group of 24. But we made it work!

Bad experience

The cabin was not clean. Roaches were everywhere and it was frustrating, we were delivered a can of bug spray after 6 nights of complaining about bugs. The power was knocked out which was out of the property management companies control but the communication should have been better. We were told that we would be refunded the nights stay without power but then told that because we had to stay at the cabin we were only refunded a small portion. There were no hotels available to go to and it would have cost us around $1400 for 7 rooms. We were refunded $248. Just imagine if everyone had spent the additional $200 each for a room how much more pissed and disappointed we would have been. We had to replace around $150 worth of food that went bad because of the power outage. We were told to go get dry ice and then that dry ice would be delivered. It never happened

All in all was good, no hot water on one side, Tv remotes were scattered. Washing machine water off

Not exactly what we wanted

We had 20 people (4 families) ranging in age from 40 to 12. The adults were greatly outnumbered by teenagers. The space was adequate size- and very easy to access from the main roads. However: 1. Cookware was warped and in some cases unusable (we purchased a set of pans and just left them there) 2. Evidence of rat/mice poop in the cabinets and drawers. 3. One half of the house (both upstairs and down) was unbearably hot, and the other half was freezing. There was not a single bedroom that could provide a moderate climate. 4. We had all the kids staying upstairs as that’s where the game room was. Big mistake! There is no insulation between the upstairs floors and the ceiling and every footstep, drop of cell phone or bounce of a basketball sounded like a gun going off. The silver lining: I could clearly make out every word of the conversations the teenagers were having upstairs. The sound travelled through the floors like a homemade cup phone. I know so many secrets now. All in all, the house is fine- wasn’t terribly expensive- but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Don't BELIEVE STUNNING Place to stay

This Cabin was filthy and infected with rats. We spend a lot of money to stay here 3 nights with my family. Also, I texted the Host after we checked in to tell him that the ironing board was broken, Rm #8 was holding water in the tub and also that the shower curtain was dirty and needed to be replaced. I told him that we had seen a rat and they came over and brought a ironing board but didn't bring any rat traps. We had to go to Walmart to get traps. We caught 3 the first night and saw a total of 6. There is a large hole in the Laundry Rm and in Rm# 2 which was an opening for anything to come in the cabin. I sent Pics and The host know all about these issues!! He told me they could only refunded me $391. This bad business and should be stop ASAP!!
