Great winter retreat

The vacation rental was spotless.

The property was clean and well-maintained. It contained all the essentials for our stay of 2 months. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all I needed to cook meals. The nearby Food Lion market was convenient shopping. Total Wine store in Myrtle Beach had the best selection and prices for wine. We enjoyed meals at Sea Captains House in Myrtle Beach, Flying Fish market and grill nearby. We walked almost every day along the beach watching the waves, people and their dogs, the foxes and birds. We really enjoyed the natural beauty and history available at Huntington State Park. Trips to Charleston gave us the opportunity to learn history at the amazing Boone Hall Plantation, taking horse carriage tour of historical district with knowledgeable/entertaining guide, the Slave Market museum, open markets for shopping (artwork, handcrafts like Gullah baskets woven with unique designs handed down from generation to generation). The Naval museum in Mt.Pleasant (located across the bay from Charleston) was a favorite of my husband. The weather was cooler than expected but we had most days with sunshine. The staff at the office were great. Easy to check in & out. We did not have laundry in the apt. but there were machines on our floor down the hall. If you are in the market for antiques, there is a flea market along Hwy 17 thaT sells everything.
