Best in Istanbul
We’ve visited Istanbul six times and always rent an apartment and this place was by far the best. Great location, with easy access to Istiklal with lots of restaurants, wine bars, grocery stores nearby. The photos of the apartment did not do it justice, but on arrival and for the next 9 nights we could not have been happier. Everything was so clean and freshly laundered.
The kitchen was well set up with everything we needed to make a meal, which we did on several nights after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The hosts had generously provided paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pucks, washing machine soap, coffee and tea. A microwave oven would be the only useful addition I can think of.
Both bedrooms have comfortable queen beds with duvets and the bathroom while compact has everything needed, plus a washing machine. Heating and hot water worked well. We had read comments about traffic noise, but didn’t find it a problem.
Down the street 100 yards is a taxi stand, another 100 yards down is a bakery where I picked up hot, fresh Simit every morning.
Both Marat and Sayat, the hosts were great communicators and a pleasure to deal with. Don’t hesitate to rent this apartment.
