Other than a few ants thisplaces was very cool and comfortable. Hot tub was nice and the kitchen has mostly everything you need, besides pots and pans, but plenty of cleaning equipment and overall a clean little houseboat. I am 6’4” and cleared ceilings but i’d say it’s the limit, beware those trending beyond the 6’4” range.

Place was a mess. Completely covered in dirt and leaves. Animals have burrowed under it. The grille is super old and dirty. And there’s no stove. The jacuzzi is really a bathtub with jets and you have to fill it with water. The propane water heater isn’t strong enough to make it hot. Smelled musty. I was surprised because all of the reviews were good. Plus there’s a ton of bugs outside. We didn’t stay and left. I died for a refund and haven’t heard from the owner

I stayed at Adam's charming houseboat for three nights with two close friends for our 7th annual camping trip, and we were absolutely blown away by our stay. When we arrived in Langsville, we encountered some pretty severe flooding blocking our route to the property, but Adam drove 20 minutes to where we were and led us through the least dicey back roads to ensure we made it safely.The houseboat itself is so quaint and unique. We enjoyed our days exploring the farm, chatting with the cows, boating in the pond, soaking in the jacuzzi tub, and hiking in Hocking Hills. We spent cozy nights by the fire pit, grilling, and listening to thunderstorms. It was the perfect vibe for us.Adam was truly the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. Beyond saving us from flash flooding, he welcomed us to explore his massive property, told us about nearby activities, and introduced us to his adorable pup, Sparky, who literally herded us to the swimming pond when we were looking for it.On a personal note, I moved out to Arizona 6 years ago and have been privileged enough to still enjoy this camping trip every year with my best friends. We look forward to this trip each year, and Adam's property provided the perfect getaway; we can't thank him enough. It was an adventure from start to end, one we will cherish for many years to come.Thank you, Adam!

Peaceful and beautiful

The property was beautiful! Loved being so close to the cows. Boat is just as pictured and we had a great time grilling between the rain showers.

Most relaxing and fun mini vacation spot

We loved every single thing about staying here! My girls 6 & 8 both said “best vacations yet” & “I want to live here when I grow up” so couldn’t ask for anything better! We Will def be back.

I’m the Captain Now

We had a really nice stay! My child loved the “no-grown-ups-allowed secret room” (lower bedroom) and playing Captain of the boat. The kitchen had everything you need; I was able to cook full meals using the griddle provided.

We loved it!

Adam was friendly, helpful, and ensured we had everything we would need to enjoy our stay. Our group absolutely loved the setting and fell in love with the good ol' Jenny Belle! Such a unique and lovely stay! Our only complaint is that we wished we could have stayed longer and spent more time exploring the property!

Great Stay at a Beautiful Rural Property

Adam is a great host, available if you have any issues but keeps his distance so you enjoy your stay. Boathouse is cool, kids loved pretending to drive the boat and taking a bath in the Jacuzzi tub. Recommend for anybody with younger kids!

Remote and Peaceful

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi was great at night for stargazing and the hamock under the tree was great for a mid-day nap. The location is very remote and quiet except for the sounds of nature--it was exactly the getaway we needed. Also, there are more cooking supplies than listed on the amenities with an air fryer and a griddle. I'd love to stay here again!

Amazing

Just what I was looking for so beautiful and quite easy to get lost but even then was a great adventure and the host was very helpful and easy to talk to any problems they took care of it immediately WILL definitely do this again a very wonderful experience

Family getaway

We had wonderful stay. Such a unique & fun property. Adam was very friendly & helpful in making sure we had a great stay. We enjoyed the pond as well. My only critique would be is that a map of the property and pond would be helpful. We got a little turned around for the pond & where the trash was located on the last day.

Hidden get a way!!

The house boat was awesome! Property owners were respectful and never intruded. Nature has its way of calming and it’s what I was looking for! Oh and the Stars!!!!! Wow!

Girls Weekend

Made plans with friends to come in for the Pawpaw Festival and like to stay at unique places. I mean who wouldn't want to stay on a Houseboat?! It was clean, cozy, and more. I didn't realize when booking the area was secluded and it was sure a welcoming surprise along with the cows serenading us while drinking our morning coffee. We didn't get a chance to explore the property, but did really enjoy the stars at night. I will defiantly be coming back with my husband to enjoy more of what this place has to offer. Absolutely amazing views and fun place to stay.

Peaceful & serene

My friend and I met about halfway between each of our homes for a weekend celebrating 35 years of friendship. The Beached Houseboat was a great location! Communication with Adam was great and the Houseboat was just as described. We had a little issue with the grill Friday night but upon calling Adam, he resolved it quickly and was apologetic that it happened. We were grateful for his quick response. There’s a small fridge, microwave, toaster available. Additionally, a griddle, air fryer, crockpot, and blender that we didn’t use. We each brought coolers and kept drinks in one and used the other one for regular food storage since counter space is limited. There are a lot of windows which are tinted and air conditioning but we were there when it was 95° and it was a little warmer in the kitchen/ bedroom area. I brought a small tower fan and it helped cool that area off more. The shower was tricky to get the water adjusted properly but we made it work. The property was so serene. It was nice to be away from road noise and traffic. There were so many birds and deer, and we heard coyotes at night. The night sky and full moon during our stay was beautiful! There were tons of fish in the pond and it was so refreshing to swim on a hot day. We explored a trail near the pond. The property is huge and I hope to return again to explore more.

Overall we had a great stay, however there were a few things that weren't. The jacuzzi was dirty and I spent an hour cleaning it before we could even use it. We kept our food in the microwave as the ants (which i know come with nature) were everywhere. The hot water needs a regualtor or something. Im no plumber but the hot water is dangerously hot. You finally get the temperature dialed in and literally 20 seconds later its scolding hot water followed by ice cold before the hot water wakes up again and burns you. If you bring small children or are a diabetic or have trouble with feeling temperature be very careful. Everyone else, just be ready to jump back when it happens. The pond is located on the owner's property and you walk along their home to access it then take the trail back to the water. The trail needs some attention, real ankle breaker and the pedal boat and boat were both half sunk. 2 kayaks but nowhere to drop in at. Pump for slide did not work. Someone was camping at the lake and took over the Pavillion and the whole area with their stuff everywhere. We did enjoy the quiet evenings and sounds of the birds and so many stars at night. The place has serious potential but definitely needs some sprucing up especially as its so far out away from any attractions, the property so be able to be the vacation

Unique, relaxing getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will book again next time we visit the area. Host was friendly, available, and easy to reach. Grounds were great for exploring and accommodation was clean and comfy.

Gorgeous Fall Escape

Had a great time hiking, fishing and hanging out at the Beached Boathouse! Generous with wood to keep the fire going, neighbors but also far enough away to offer privacy. Great adventure for kids at the boat, pond and hiking trails. Highly recommend!

This place is way off the beaten path but so worth it! It was what we needed to unwind and relax.

The best! The owner was helpful and friendly. The boat was unique and decorated to the theme. Very clean and worked out so well with the grandkids.
