We were a party of 8 who had different agendas for our stay. Our days were spend on and off the property, with most meals eaten on the patio overlooking the pool and the view. We began our visit with a boat tour of the Sierra River, a must for those of us who were returning to Uvita for the third or fourth time. Many changes in the area since 2020, our last visit. A lot more development, and the weather was different in that we experienced rain several times, and clouds, not the case on past holidays in the same time period. The master bedroom is wonderful .. our guests used the two cottages as well, so everyone had lots of privacy. We saw some lovely birds from the terrace, also heard howlers, saw several agoutis and coatis, as well as a small herd of peccaries (wood pigs, on the road). We did hire Beto for a couple of walks of the property and a night walk. We saw few animals this way - the trails are really roads, through the property and the hike to the view, only a few of us did it, was quite difficult and strenuous. Not recommended for over 70s or if you are not fit. For negatives, only a few .. the road coming up is really quite challenging (we live on a dirt road in Canada with hills and ice/snow) .. this is dust and twists and grinding hills, coupled with a lot of ATV and truck traffic. A GOOD SUV is needed. There were some issues with the entrance (gate not functioning)at the end of our stay but any issue was always dealt with quickly by Annick.
