This place was way below any other property we've stayed in. I've never left a bad review before but want to spare other travelers. There were long, black hairs in the shower that my daughter discovered while showering on the first day. The room doesn't look as light and pretty as the picture shows. The rest of the building is very run down. At check in you only get 2 keys (even for 4 people). If you lose a key it's 37. One day the building turned off the power. There was power in the unit but the hallways were dark. One day, the pool was drained and unusable. There's barely enough room in the bathroom to open the door before hitting the toilet. There was Ramboard on the floor in the hallway and 2 units next door under construction (noisy). One night the fire alarm went off. Apparently that was accidental but it kept going off. They had to call "someone" to reset it. The owner responds to email but with a low level of concern and dismissive about any issues happening in the building. I recommend no one stay here. Not worth it.

Downtown Convenience

We stayed in the Aqua Palms for a week to visit while our son was attached to Hickham AFB. The property is within walking distance of anywhere we wanted to go downtown, and a good base for day trips (although the traffic at noon and dinner is crazy at times). From the property, we could easily walk to the beach, restaurants or cafes for meals, convenience stores, coffee, local shops, the mall, Planet Fitness, etc. One thing we really appreciated was the opportunity to have a coin laundry on the hotel premises, as it was nice to launder clothes after hiking. Since we are a military family, we walked to the Hale Koa restaurant and beach bar a few times and shopped at the BX. We did notice that the room was loud; it faces the street and vehicle noise can be heard; usually not an issue after dark. Even though we were there over Memorial Day weekend, parking at the on site parking garage was never an issue. Little known fact, there is free coffee in the lobby from the coffee machine and a water station to fill your bottles before beaching, exploring, and hiking. Thank you, we would stay again!

Great location

Had a very nice stay and appreciate the attentiveness of the host. Folks should be aware that this is a privately owned unit in a hotel property. Hotel staff were very friendly but also clear that need to treat VRBO guests differently and not as "their" guests per se. The kitchenette claim is a little deceiving with this unit as well. There is a microwave, rice cooker (appreciated!!), coffee maker, and dishes/silverware. Dishes must be washed in the bathroom sink. Remember this unit is in a standard hotel, and is outfitted as such.

Room was small

The room was small, but close to everything! All we did was wind down and sleep! It looked big in the add but it’s not! It was clean so that was nice! I would rate it a 8 over all!

Perfect spot w/ 2 queen beds, close to Waikiki Beach and shopping

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was a clean and updated property. The host was very good with communicating proper procedure for checking in/parking. It was also a decent nightly rate.
