この施設について

New Build Perch Cabin - Northwinds Adventures

Sitting on the property of Northwinds Adventures, a year round camp, the “Perch" cabin features 3 bedrooms; one with a King bed (linens provided), one with a Queen bed (linens provided) and another with 2 twin bunks (linens provided).  For additional sleeping space, there is a full futon and leather couch in the living room. White Oak hardwood floors throughout cabin and gorgeous maple walls and ceilings, both bathrooms have beautiful tiled walk in showers. A wood burning stove is available to take the chill off in the cooler seasons, firewood provided for $8/bundle.  In the hot summer months enjoy the A/C. The kitchen is full with a large island, everything you need to prepare a great meal after a day outdoors. Washer/Dryer for use as well!

The cabin is tucked in a grove of aspens about 125 yards from our very own 'private' Love Lake.  There is a deck for lounging and a charcoal grill; but the charcoal is not provided.

Feel free to walk the trails around our 220 acres, paddle a canoe, kayak, or stand up board in our lake, or spend time on our private beach.  

Love Lake is a 10 acre, spring fed private lake and there are plenty of opportunities to fish from shore.  To protect our population of native brook trout and walleyes we ask that you use ONLY barbless, artificial lures and gently release all of our finned friends back into the lake to fight another day!

If you are coming up to ATV or snowmobile, we ask that you DO NOT ride machines on the property.  You can however ride them directly from the property to the trail, a short, legal ride on the roads to the Bill Nichols trail located about 5 miles away.

The cabin was immaculate upon arrival. WOW! Absolutely perfect cabin with what is included as well as the decorations. The BEST shower I have every used with the amazing water pressure. The view on the property is stunning and all of these reasons make it an easy choice to always stay at Northwinds Adventures when we visit Michigan Tech and the Keweenaw Peninsula.

This was a great stay, the owners had so much available to us: first aid kits, soaps, cooking oil, S/P, playing cards, lighters, etc which was nice to ensure you had everything! The cabin was clean and comfy! We came across a couple earwigs each day in the house. The owners were right on site so if there was anything we needed they were right there. When we got there, other people were signed into their streaming services so we had to log out but overall, everything was great!

Beautiful cabin and grounds. Michelle was very helpful and communicated quickly. Kitchen well-stocked and clean. I have sensitivities to smells, and everything was free of fragrances (sheets, towels), which was greatly appreciated. So many activities available for the whole family.

Snowmobile trip to Michigan UP

The cabin worked out great for our group of 4 adults. The cabin is new and very well done. It was wonderful to have the wood stove to warm up after a long day on the trail. If there is good snow amount a person can easily navigate a snowmobile right from the cabin to the main trail system. Would highly recommend and hope to be back.

Another great stay at Northwinds Adventures

We have stayed at Northwinds Adventures numerous times since 2016. The cabins are very clean and well appointed, and the owners communicate promptly. These are modern cabins with a Northwoods feel, but also the amenities of home. Perch is my favorite layout, and the shower is nicer than my shower at home! Highly recommend.

Perch Cabin

The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities. The property had great sand beaches with a relaxing pond which was great for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The hosts were great as well. Easy to reach and very responsive when messaged day or night.

So relaxing!

We were in town to spend Easter weekend with our freshman MTU student, since he couldn't make the 9 hour trip home... the cabin was perfect; clean, plenty of room, and well stocked with household items. We were able to cook Easter dinner for a small group of MTU students, and we had everything we needed. The cabin was clean and cozy... we especially loved the wood stove, since I am always cold. We were so happy with it, we already booked one of the cabins for next Easter!

Perfect home for our visit to Houghton - MTU

This was one of the best houses we have ever stayed in. Brand new, super clean and cozy! Cannot wait to return to the property again in April (staying at one of the other homes there).

Gorgeous Cabin and Property

Thank you for the great stay. The cabin and lake are beautiful, serene, and cozy. Everything was clean and it was a great place to hang out with our Husky…right down to the frosted mugs to enjoy our Keewenaw Brewing finds! We will definitely be back!

Another great stay

This was our second time renting at Northwinds Adventure and just like the first stay the Perch did not disappoint. It’s a new build, clean with everything we needed to cook dinner, sleep comfortably and relax by a campfire with our MTU son whom we were visiting! We will be back again!

Beautiful cabin with great property

Our family enjoyed this very clean, comfortable and updated cabin close to Houghton. Kitchen is beautiful and well equipped for all your needs. We did a lot of exploring in the area and location was perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay again and it is a nice resort area for multiple families to enjoy.

Fantastic Rental Property

This cabin was gorgeous! Everything you could possibly want, plus some added bonuses. The property had 2 different beach fronts on a man made lake, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, half court basketball, picnic areas, beachfront seating, and kayaks and paddle board to rent. The property was super clean and well organized. Firewood was stacked on the front porch for us to use. The only downside was the fire pit was placed so far away from the house and not permanently placed on the grass, we were afraid to use it. We will definitely stay here again!!

Perfect for our weekend stay in Houghton

This is the third time I have stayed in Northwinds Adventures cabins. This one was new since our last visit, and it was perfect for our weekend in Houghton. Our family we were visiting lives in the Dodgeville area, so the location of this cabin is very convenient and avoids having to travel through downtown or the campus. Would definitely stay here again, and we already have our next reservation booked for August.

Family Vacation

This property is a great place for families. The owners are very welcoming. The Perch Cabin was perfect for our family of seven. We all slept comfortably. The kitchen was great. This was a new and very clean place to stay. We are an active family and really enjoyed the basketball court, swimming area, open field space and close proximity to many hikes and mountain bike trails. We had a great stay and hope to be back.
