The cabin was beautifully equipped, from the beds, to the kitchen, right down to the bathroom and beach towels. Everything was first-class, decorated with an up-north, log cabin vibe. The communication with the hosts was clear and timely. There was a well-written binder with details about the cabin and the surrounding area on the dining room table.
Our stay was in early October. The colors were spectacular. We saw loons, geese, squirrels and based on the number of sunnies swimming around the dock, the lake must be teaming with fish. It didn’t rain during our 5 days, but if it did, there were plenty of games, books, streaming channels and a well-equipped kitchen to bake bread and cook a favorite meal.
Although the cabin is tucked away in the woods and surrounded by towering trees, we were still within an easy drive to the cute little town of Dorset or the big city of Park Rapids.
This trip was a trial run with just the two of us. We’ll be back with kids and grandkids. There’s plenty of room, a sandy beach with lots of water toys.
In summary, this property was warm, inviting, private and peaceful.
If you’re looking to experience all that the Park Rapids area has to offer, we’d highly recommend this cabin on Lake Ojibway.
