This is a wonderful Studio apartment at the El Matador complex on Okaloosa Island with a beautiful balcony view, close walk to the beautiful private beach, close to tennis courts, seasonally heated pool, gym, and hot tub. The unit is well equipped and cozy, kitchen fully furnished, with one King bed and a queen sofa sleeper. This is a unique and tranquil hideaway at the El Matador!!

This unit is very clean and quiet, a lot of amenities at this property, James was easy to communicate with and responded promptly— would definitely stay here again - my only recommendation- replace the couch I’m sure it’s just time and being used - bed was great also!! Enjoyed my stay !!!

Wonderful views

The unit was very clean and well organized. It was just the two of us, but would have been comfortable for 2 couples. There were some issues with the elevator, but it was only out of operation for a few hours.

Memorial getaway!!!

We had a excellent time. Everything was as descibed. Very clean and comfortable. Close walk to beach and quiet and remote. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience!

It was a great place! Clean & James was very easy to communicate with. The pool was close, beach was about a 5 minute walk with 2 small babies. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Would not hesitate to book with James again!

The property owner was very responsive to questions. Very pleased with the property, cleanliness, even the bed was comfortable. A little tight for 4 people, but manageable... anything bigger in the destin area with brach location like this was just too expensive. There was washer and dryer on property and vending. Very nice pool at the bottom of the stairs It is the 2nd pool on the property hidden back a little bit, very quiet compared to the bigger pool

Great value

It’s a very comfortable place, clean, tastefully decorated, but most importantly functional. Fill kitchen , open floor plan , nice views. Really the only negative and it really wasn’t bad, was it seemed like it was a private bedroom when it actually was open to the entire home, studio fashion. Even though that was unexpected it still worked out perfectly for us. All in all incredible value for the money.

ProsThe host was fantastic. The rate was pretty good rate. Once you walked to the beach it wasn’t super crowded.The pool was really nice. The building was super quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. ConsIt is not a one bedroom one bath. It’s a studio.The view is majority of sand dunes of the Air Force base. The building is only two stories tall.We thought we were gonna be on the 6th floor by the condo number. You had to walk about a hundred yards or so over the hot asphalt to the beach crossover. These are the reasons I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. The host was definitely 5 stars for sure.

Beautiful Beach!

Had a great stay! Clean, comfortable and easy access to beach. Pools were very refreshing. Communication with James was flawless and will definitely consider this place again in the future!

This place is positioned away from the main building but close enough for a short walk to a beautiful, secluded beach. Dunes from an undeveloped area are adjacent to this property which makes it unique and tranquil. The tennis court and gym are right by this building. My daughter engages in these activities so she was happy about that. There is a heated pool, sauna, basketball court, grill and whirlpool steps away from the building as well. Its a very cute, cozy dwelling that we'll visit again.

Nice getaway

Nice cozy condo. Place was supplied with everything we needed, chairs,umbrellas,etc. Short walk to beach. Owner responded promptly to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Breathtaking View & Comfy Condo

The condo was immaculate and had everything we needed for a short get away! Communication with the owner was great and he answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The view of the gulf was amazing! Spent so much time at the beautiful beach that was just steps away. Would absolutely stay at this location again!

Ft Walton Birthday Getaway

My fiance and I booked a 4 day getaway for her bithday. We had a wonderful time, the condo was awesome, clean, great communication with the owner/agent. Highly recommend it!! I guarantee you will be happy, a very quaint relaxed time!
