Nestled in the trees is Red Cabin by Nelder Creek. Beautifully decorated and full of amenities to make your stay special. Plenty of room to gather for meals and to share the adventures of the day. Complete with a fully stocked kitchen and a game room for kids, young and old! The master suite features a sitting area, en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and gorgeous walk in shower! Plenty of outside seating to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, have a quiet cup of coffee or share a meal with family and friends. The guest house has an additional sleeping and living area with its own kitchenette and enclosed patio. There is an outside shower available to use after a long day at the creek, Bass Lake or hiking Yosemite which is just under 14 miles away. We look forward to hosting you at Red Cabin! *Note: Nelder Creek is not visible from the house but is just a short walk away.

We loved it!

We had a wonderful time! The cabin is so cozy & filled with love. It had everything we needed, we could hear the creek perfectly, beautiful property & area. We will be back!

Cozy

Needed ant and spider control, cupboards had dead insects on top of the doors. It was spacious and the family enjoyed it. It was close to what we wanted to see.

The house is very nice but the cleanliness wasn’t. There were a lot of spiders inside the house and it wasn’t clean when we arrived.

Nice and quiet

Pleasant stay with an awesome modern master bathroom. Detached living quarters was really nice for in-laws. Close to bass lake. 25 minutes to south entrance to Yosemite. 1:10 minutes to valley floor.

Perfect match for us

The house fit us perfectly, a group of 10, with 4 couples and 2 singles. The "mother-in-law" flat in the cottage immediately adjacent to the main house gave one couple a little more distance and privacy. It was difficult to divine the house layout from the photos or to determine if there was enough space for people to retreat, read a book, write a postcard. There was! The "office" links the "master bedroom" with the living room/dining room and the kitchen. This made the "office" a perfect "aperitif" room -- access to drinks through the kitchen window, but out from underfoot of the cooking team. The morning sun shines on the deck (we breakfasted outside). The dining room table has two extensions and sits 10 easily (with the chairs from the kitchen). This is clearly a cabin used by the owners' family: The kitchen had almost every cooking utensil one could need (even a rice cooker and a dehydration machine). The knife assortment was also unusually good (we had brought our own, just in case). The dishwasher was on its last legs...but I'm sure this will be replaced before long. Note: there were two almost full packages of filters for the drip coffee machine (200 filters?). Trash was not optimally resolved. Oakhurst apparently doesn't sort and recycle. Our group ended up transporting glass, cans and paper back to our homes for disposal. There is nevertheless a limit of one-trash-bag-a-day at the house. It was a quiet location reasonably remote from conglomerations: one could hear the nearby brook and see the stars clearly. Shopping was a 10 minute drive, the Valley (depending on traffic an hour and a quarter to an hour an a half away.
