Included in your stay are all the resort-style amenities at Sherwin Condominiums such as an on-site fitness room, sprawling oceanfront sun deck, heated pool, community charcoal grill, an indoor hot tub, sauna, community room with a pool table, and secure garage parking.
Less than a block from Sherwin is one the most upscale restaurants in town, Top of Daytona. This 4-star restaurant features creative cuisine from atop Daytona's tallest building offer 360-degree views of the city while dining. Directly across the street from Sherwin is Cherry Hill Ice Cream Café and Beachcomber Park. 3 beach-side parks are less than a quarter mile from Sandpoint featuring beach-side amenities, playgrounds, and splash pads. The Shore Resort and Spa is only building a couple buildings over and features many upscale and casual restaurants as well as a full Spa that allows day guests.
Each room in this beautiful unit is tastefully adorned with televisions, linens and décor. The unit also includes a private laundry room for added convenience. Beautiful - Would rent again wo hesitation!!
The unit was very nice. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Loved the leather couch/loveseat recliners. The master bedroom was very spacious and the master bath was huge. We never utilized the second bedroom but used the second bath room which was also very nice. The kitchen was beautiful with all stainless-steel appliances. There was an issue with the kitchen oven. When in the bake mode, it would say that it heated to the temperature that we set it on but when opening the oven, it was only warm. Not sure if there is a problem with the heating element or not. This was reported to the host the first week (we were there for two weeks) we were there and she reported to the owner. Unfortunately, nothing was done to resolve this issue. The only other minor issue was the hairdryer was missing. We reported this to host and she stated she would pick one up but we ended up buying one at a local store.
The building is very nice and felt very secure. The Sherwin is centrally located in Daytona Beach Shores. DBS is beautiful and there is so many places to go eat and sit outside. The area is very clean and safe.
There were some minor outside issues. There was a lot of heavy equipment being used in the front of the building as well as beside the building which was a little annoying with the noise. The entrance to the beach was locked for 3 days in a row which blocked our access to the beach. This was 20% of our days of vacation. Also, we felt that the host could have been more transparent with the damage that had occurred to the Sherwin when we emailed her in February. There was no sea wall and when the access to the beach was open, we could get to beach. We were told we could have used public access which was 3 blocks away. However, we did not rent a beach front unit to walk with chairs, coolers, umbrella, etc. 3 blocks away. Lastly, the pool was not operational. We asked the host about this prior to coming and she said everything should be working. Upon our arrival we asked about pool again and she said that it was to be open but it got delayed.
Overall, we would rent this unit again without any hesitation.

Thank you for staying with us, you were great guest and left the condo very clean, I am sorry about the oven, a part was ordered even before your arrival.
I did tell you upon booking about the pool not being operational and that the 2 hurricane last November took down the Seawall. I told you that you could cancel and get a full refund. We did have Beach Access except for 2 days the President of the Board of the Sherwin closed the access gate due to Jeeps in front of the building on the beach ( It was Jeep Feast Week)
It wasn't the Jeeps on the beach it was many people using our beach access to get to and from the beach that were staying at the Sherwin. And for those 2 days it was very windy you would have been very uncomfortable using the beach. Also there were so many jeeps parked on the beach and people.
When you first arrived you told me about the hair dryer, It was a Sunday and I said I wasn't going to be able to get one that day but I would the next day. You then said you would pick one up for your wife. I said I would reimburse you for it but you didn't leave it in the condo.
Thanks for staying with us, if you visit again hopefully we will have our pool, seawall, and beach access,
