Log Cabin on 40 acres with a private lake

If you are looking for peaceful, private getaway to the Northwoods, no matter what season it is, this log cabin offers it all. Just an 8 minute drive to Tomahawk and 35 minutes to granite peak, this tranquil cabin is a true retreat from the daily grind. This fully equipped just remodeled 4 season log home offers 3 bedrooms (with a 4th bed in a bonus room), 2 full bathrooms, a massive field stone wood burning fireplace along with full furnishings. Just pack your bags, we have everything covered!

The house is located on 40 acres with abundant walking trails full of wildlife, native plants and flowers and is located on a 7 acre private lake that is perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Sorry, no motorized boats (including jet skis) are allowed.

Enjoy the summers swimming, kayaking, accessing local ATV trails and hiking. Falls are fabulous for exploring the 40 acres, autumn colors and wildlife scenery. Winter provides peaceful evenings with roaring fires in the fieldstone fireplace, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, and ice skating. House is just steps from the trails for the state ATV and snowmobile trails. One tandem kayak and 2 stand up paddle boards and a canoe are provided along with other water toys and snow shoes for winter trail hiking.

Wildlife includes abundant deer, turkeys, bear, porcupine and birds galore! Please know that this is a hunt-free property and we do not allow the hunting of wildlife.

This truly is an amazing vacation get away that provides an oasis to connect with each other and nature in the charm of a rustic cabin.

Due to local ordinances, the following rules must be followed: No more than 6 overnight guests (children under 3 are not counted in the max), no campers, no more than 4 vehicles, no fireworks.

This property is fully licensed through Lincoln County zoning and the Heath Dept. There are two outside cameras near the entrance.

Relaxing Private Getaway

We had an incredible stay. The cabin is great & the outdoor area is private & peaceful. Having our own lake to float around on was fabulous. Melanie & Nancy were a pleasure to work with. We'd definitely stay again!

Shangri-La on a wooded lake

I knew it was going to be "nice" but it turned out to be far more. Manicured walking trails thru the woods, a kitchen equipped to prep a gourmet meal for 10 or more, great-sized bedrooms, fabulous A/C, garage parking, etc. 'Already booked a stay for next year. The hosts are amazing, deserve a premier plus rating.

Great cabin on beautiful grounds

Overall we had a great stay here. The private lake was a perfect spot for our kids to play — fish, swim, and paddle. They had fun playing ping pong and watching movies and roasting marshmallows as well.

It had been a tough year for our family, and we were badly in need of a getaway surrounded by loved ones and the beauty of nature. The Red Door Lodge was the perfect prescription. The octagonal, log house has a feel of authenticity yet with all the modern conveniences. There was more than ample room inside for us, our adult grandkids and their awesome mom … but it was the grounds with many mowed trails and a gorgeous lake that were most amazing. The cabin is close enough to “civilization” for shopping and dining, but has a real “away from it all” feel. Just perfect. That is also a good word to describe the responsiveness of the owner, Melanie. We — reluctantly — came home in a renewed frame of mind, which is just how vacations should be.

Beautiful home and property!

We were looking for a relaxing getaway and we found it! The house and property were amazing and so peaceful. The home is very well appointed for ample privacy. Very well stocked kitchen also, we had everything we needed for a great weekend.

Peaceful getaway

We stayed with our three teenagers and enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and relaxing. We really liked the mowed trails and also hiked in the area. Everything you need is there.

Just perfect!

Gorgeous cabin, beautiful property, great location! Cabin was clean, fully stocked, clear and concise property book and instructions! Beds were comfy and nice linens, nice towels, etc. We enjoyed our stay with family and friends and did not want to leave!! Hope to stay again soon!

Lake Cabin

Perfect for what we looking. Quiet, private on a beautiful small lake that was great for paddle boarding and relaxing. Tomahawk an easy and quick drive for doing or finding a bar.

Relaxing stay in Irma. Beautifully decorated home with modern amenities. Unfortunately it seems the lake has few fish however the kayaks and boards were still useful.

Family fun at this Northwood house with private lake

Beautiful Northwood style house with private lake to enjoy for the whole family from kayaking to swimming. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for lunch and listen to the birds and the calmness of nature that surrounds you. The house itself is equipped with everything you need. We truly enjoyed our time and plan to be back!

Family Vacation

Our family consist of grandparents, parents, and children. The home was well suited for this group. Plenty of space for all of us. The property is beautiful. House is well stocked. We have stayed at multiple locations over the years and this had the best stocked kitchen. We plan on coming back.
