Experience “lake house life” at our beautiful, newly furnished, Oxbow Retreat!

Sunrise and sunsets over the water!

Holds up to 10 people with the two queen sleepers!

Boat, fish, kayak, swim, bbq…relax. 🎉 Gatherings & Visitors Our house is designed as a peaceful retreat, so we ask that the property not be used as a hub for outside visitors or rotating guests. We want everyone
— including our neighbors —to enjoy the space!

Additional Guests : We kindly ask that your guest count stays within what was agreed & confirmed at booking. 10 max and max 5 vehicles .

Exterior Cameras: 🎥 For everyone's peace of mind, we have exterior cameras on the property for safety purposes.

If you are fishing, you will need current fresh water licenses for Louisiana.

We have a regular coffee pot . (coffee not included )

Due to the nature of our circumstances check in is 4pm firm and check out is 10am firm .

If you need more time please book and extra day before or after to accommodate your schedule .

We have a fireplace but you will need to provide your own firewood if you choose to use it . There are several stores local that sell it nearby .

We have a charcoal grill . if you choose to grill please clean up after . and don’t forget to bring charcoal . ( we don’t provide )

**There is an additional $500 fee for guests wanting to book my property for filming and/or photography. A location
agreement must be provided to me prior to your shoot date.**

Please adhere to 5mph driveway speed limit

Please do not put any loose trash on the bins outside. all trash must go in a trash bags before disposal . Any loose trash found will have a $50 fine per bin to the guest.

🚭 Strict no smoking ANYWHERE IN or ON the proptery. To keep our space fresh and comfortable for every guest, we ask that there be no smoking inside or within 25 feet of the property. If you smoke outdoors, please keep windows and doors closed. Please note that a $500 fee applies if smoke detectors go off or if cigarette butts are found anywhere on the property.

Beautiful home and great location! Great communication with the hosts. The kitchen was huge but very limited on cookware and utensils. Porch was gorgeous but seating is limited as well. May want to bring a couple camp chairs. Overall, great home and would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at this beautiful house and it won’t be our last. Sharnael was the nicest, most helpful and accommodating host. The house is very spacious and perfect for a family get together, as we hosted a late family Christmas here. The boat ramp is literally right next to the property so it was very convenient when we needed to load/unload the boat. It’s located in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood so it’s the perfect getaway. All around excellent place and we can’t wait to go back!

Quiet and peaceful area

Perfect getaway with friends and family. Right on the lake with beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Definitely worth the drive in the country to stay at such a beautiful home on the lake.

Peaceful place to relax with family and friends. The wrap around porches are gorgeous with the perfect views of the lake, sunsets and sunrises. Open concept kitchen, dining, and living space. Plenty of space for group of 8-10 people.

We stayed for a weekend AAU tournament. The property was great, the neighborhood dog was an added bonus.

Wwekend getaway

We had a wonderful, relaxing time with friend and family. Sitting on the porch have a bible study and prayer time in the mornings was unbelievably relaxing. We all grow closer as a family. We plan on staying here every year.

Big thanks to you. What a beautiful house!Our story - my dad was born and raised in Ruby. He loved it here! It’s our family home even though our work has us living elsewhere. He passed a few months ago and I’ve been wanting to get his urn placed down here. This trip was a spur of the moment decision, and we came down with no plan. As it transpired we found that his childhood friend is the caretaker of the Wise Chapel Cemetery. We were able to get him placed right next to his mom and dad and his grandparents!Being able to stay at such a beautiful site right down the road from family was the highlight of our efforts. Thank you so much for making your house available to us and working with me on the extra night. I will definitely keep you in mind for next time we make it down here. The Dupree’s
