Great adult weekend getaway! The views were incredible and there was so much space. The different areas for outdoor entertainment was perfect if we wanted to be in a group or alone. The grilling area is perfect for cooking a great meal. We loved that it was already decorated for Christmas. We will definitely be back with our kids!

My family and I stayed here from November 26–29 for my son’s 5th birthday and Thanksgiving, and we absolutely loved it! The home was perfect for our family. We spent our evenings hanging out around the fireplace and having fun family game nights which was some of our favorite memories from the trip.The three-level floor plan was amazing. It gave everyone enough space to relax and enjoy their own area, but still made it easy for us to spend quality time together. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a holiday getaway.I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others, and we’re already planning to rent it again in the future. Highly recommend!

Perfect weekend trip

The property was so beautiful. I wish it had been cooler and snow, but we definitely would love to visit again in the winter months. Communication was great. We loved the scenic location and lots of wildlife.

WOW! We have found our yearly cabin rental! It was beautiful, clean, and the hosts were very accommodating to our needs and wants! We are a little sad that we forgot to sign the guest book but I won't matter because we will be back next year to sign!

Back to School Trip

Took a trip with a mom friend and our four kids (2, 5, 5 and 7). The place was great accommodating all of us while giving each family their space. Place was in a great location, clean and stocked well. Highly recommend.

Birthday trip

This was the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. The house is better than the pictures, plus the new firepit and grill area was amazing!! We spent every evening watching the sunset in the swings. Matthew was an amazing host, with excellent and timely communication. I will definitely be recommending this location to friends and family

Amazing views and a great time!

We loved our stay at this cabin. The views and place were absolutely stunning. Every thing is clean and up to date. We loved having the porch outside to sit at in the morning and the fire pit down stair to do s’mores in at night. There is a lot to do at the cabin with a Pac-Man machine and jacuzzi. We will definitely be staying again! The place is private, and a little tricky to find but we loved being away from people!

Quiet with just enough seclusion.

This cabin sets well off a main road and the first drive up there in the dark was a little unnerving. However, after that first trip it wasn’t a thing and I actually enjoyed the leisurely pace up and down the gravel road. The cabin is spacious and nicely furnished. The weather wasn’t super favorable for our trip so we made use of the games and amenities provided. I had a few questions about things during our stay and the owner responded quickly every time. Very nice host and would stay here again.

Cute cabin

Cabin would be perfect for 2 families-master and loft bed upstairs, Queen and bunk beds downstairs. All that we needed for cooking was available. The hot tub was hot and ready to go. It was hard to control the temperature across the cabin-the upstairs stayed warm and the downstairs was cold. Be prepared for the 1.5 mi dirt road to get there!

Girls Trip

What an AMAZING cabin! We had a group of 4 women stay for 3 nights… It was so relaxing and quiet! The view from the back deck is absolutely stunning! I have stayed in many cabins in this area over the years and this cabin has the best view, Hands Down! We had a great time hanging out in the hot tub, eating, drinking, and sitting out in the hammock swings and on the deck. The video game table was a big hit and took us back to our high school days. The drive up the mountain was very scenic with MANY playful deer and other wildlife. Matthew and his wife have thought of everything in this one. It was very clean and cozy! It was perfect for this group of 50+ women to reconnect. I will be booking this one again! Thank you again for being so hospitable!!

Oasis in the Mountains

We normally take our fall breaks to a farm in TN but our children wanted to go apple picking so after much research, we found Cozy Bear Lodge. As a homeschooling foster family that carries a very busy schedule, this was the PERFECT place to reset & reconnect as a family. The location is nice & remote, you don’t hear any traffic, yet you are close enough to town. We visited Mercier Orchard a couple of times because we needed fried pies & apple cider donuts often. Calories don’t count on vacation! We took one day & drove the hour into Helen. We got European pastries from Hofer’s & had very tasty German style food at Hofbräuhaus (we ate outside alongside the river). Then we traveled about 15 miles south to Cleveland to visit the Cabbage Patch hospital (free admission) & our almost 4 year old was on cloud 9 loving on every doll she could get her hands on. This was such a fun hidden gem. We also ate out at the Cuban Cafe (Rum Cake Lady) in downtown Blue Ridge, INCREDIBLE mom & pop shop! The tamales were legit! The cabin has everything you would need for cooking. We never thought once “I wish we had….” My big kids found plenty of games in the game closet, the front yard is big enough to throw football or play catch. The outdoor space alone is worth booking! Matthew was extremely quick to respond when we needed to connect with him. Best experience we’ve had with a VRBO home & we have stayed at quite a few

We came to cozy bear lodge the beginning of November to see the beautiful fall leaves. To say the view was spectacular is an understatement. Everything about the lodge was warm, welcoming, and so cozy we had a hard time ever leaving! It was decorated for Christmas, and for my crew that is always a plus! The host was very kind and attentive to all the details about the cabin, plus offering up some fun things to do in the area while we were there. They were very responsive to any questions we had and very helpful. I would definitely come back and stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to stay in the blue ridge area!

Cousins Christmas!

Our two families with young children enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful cabin! There was plenty of room for us all and the property was very impressive. My cousin got engaged in front of the living room fire place and our family made many Christmas memories we will cherish forever. Loved the hammock swings and Christmas decor as well. We will definitely be back!

Hello! We are Christen and Matthew from Woodstock, Georgia. We love spending time with our family in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. From the breath taking views, relaxation, peace and quiet and proximity to so many activities and down town Blue Ridge, it's hard to ever leave. When we are not there, we enjoy sharing our home with others through short term rentals. We strive to provide our guests with an upscale lodge type cabin with great customer service. We are both nurses who work at hospitals in Atlanta. We have one child who is almost two years old, and as our family grows we look forward to creating many memories at the Cozy Bear Lodge.
