Sunny Coach House in Historic Oak Park

This bright, cozy coach house is your ideal base in Oak Park. It was originally the coachman's quarters behind a 1909 Prairie-style house, now converted into modern guest lodging.

The coach house is above the garage at the end of a long driveway (free parking included!) on a quiet street, in the heart of the Frank Lloyd Wright district. It's a short walk from the FLW home and studio, Ernest Hemingway's birthplace, vibrant downtown Oak Park, and trains to downtown Chicago.

Wonderful coach house and wonderful hosts! Andy and Lia have created a lovely space in Oak Park. The space was exactly as described and very comfortable and clean. Easy walking through beautiful neighborhoods to downtown Oak Park. The booking process was easy with Andy and Lia responding quickly and answering all my questions. I would definitely book again. Cozy studio close to many restaurants, shops, groceries. Easy , secure entry. Beautiful setting in historic district. Accommodation was pleasantly decorated and equipped. Wi-Fi worked well. Bed is comfortable. I would stay here again!

The place was really cozy. 2 adult sisters - One of us slept in the bedroom and the other on the couch which was perfect. The coach house is very convenient to restaurants and shopping areas in Oak Park. Very walkable. Its on a beautiful street. Check in instructions were clear and the host was very responsive and friendly. Getting there from O'hare was quick and easy. We would book again.

Cozy little place. Great, walkable neighborhood. Close to Oak Park and the Greenline to downtown Chicago. Driveway was sort of tight but that comes with this type of neighborhood. It was nice to have safe, off- street parking. I would stay here again.

“Older” travelers approve

My husband and I are in our 70s and we found that our safety and comfort level was more than satisfactory while staying at this lovely Coachhouse. A real plus was the beautiful neighborhood. Also, our host was responsive within minutes to the couple of questions we had when we first arrived. Our stay was overall a wonderful experience!
