This was a perfect stay -- we'll definitely return to this apt.
Upper west side is a great launching point for exploring NYC and this apartment is in a quiet block between Central Park West and Columbus. Tons of restaurants in the area, easy access to subway, park, museums, etc.
The apartment itself is comfortable and quiet. Ground floor and in the back -- we did sometimes hear people going up and down the stairs by us, but no street noise at all. Not at all fancy, but also well furnished. Comfortable bed, sofas & sitting area, square dining table w/ 4 chairs. Kitchen is minimal: I wouldn't want to cook much more than breakfast in it, but you're in NYC and probably eating out. There's a little patio in the back which seemed like it would be great, but it had been raining a lot before our stay and there was standing water serving as mosquito breeding grounds. But the park is just a block away so we had plenty of space to be outside.
Compared to a hotel room, it's bigger and more comfortable, in a better local neighborhood, and cheaper.
Check in and out was easy: code to access the building and no need to chase someone down to get the key.
