The community is located in the Lech Valley between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps on the well-known Lechweg, a long-distance hiking trail through the entire Lech Valley to Füssen. Summer and winter in the Lechtal offers everything you can expect from an active holiday for two, with family or with friends. In summer, tackle a challenging MTB tour from Steeg to Lech am Arlberg and Formarinsee, covering 32 km with over 800 meters in elevation. After the tough ride, relax at Freiburger Hütte with a snack and a drink. Nature lovers can also enjoy the MTB route to Krabachtal or valley hikes along the wild river Lech and the Lechtal Panoramaweg. Hikers can follow the Höhenweg Hägerau to Holzgau, while climbers will find around 31 routes in the climbing garden in Lechleiten. Even on rainy days, Steeg offers plenty to do.
