Welcome to the stunning Chateau Escondido! Let us host your next wellness or corporate retreat. Mini vacation? we also welcome you! There is plenty of space to relax and bond with a beautiful sunset view. Games like air hockey, pool table are onsite with a winery 5 mins away. You will have the entire property to yourself during your stay. 8-bedroom, 10- bathroom mansion on top of a hill with breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. Each bedroom has it’s own private bathroom. The property has three kitchens and ample space. The Suite has a glamorous marble bathroom with a shower room, three walk-in closets, a marble jacuzzi bathtub with TV, and a steam room. Sleeps 20 adults.

Neighborhood has large mansions, plenty of restaurants with the San Diego Zoo Safari Park being only 2 miles away.

The property has 3 covered parking spaces, and enough room to park 60 cars.

Visit by owner, who helped himseft to dinner

Did not meet expectations

We had a total of 18 guests staying in this home after our daughter’s wedding and unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations. There are some things that need correction and/or improvement. A detailed list of 9 issues was sent to the owner via VRBO after our stay and we requested a partial credit on the rental fee ($2900) because of 2 main issues; a smoke alarm that chirped all night in the Safari suite, which had 4 guests, and there was no hot water throughout the entire house. The property manager acknowledged our list of issues and responded that she would convey our rental credit request to the owner, but did not receive a response from either, which was extremely disappointing since our guests were inconvenienced. One guest took an Uber home in the middle of the night (33 miles away) and the other three guests left early the next morning because they couldn’t sleep with the constant chirping. Other issues included finding personal prescription medication in a drawer near the kitchen (safety issue) and no detailed list of check out instructions provided upon check-in. We took it upon ourselves to guess what was required, so we stripped the beds, washed dishes in cold water, took out the trash, shut off all the lights and locked up the house. We locked all doors except for a door in the master suite because the deadbolt lock would not work (another safety issue). As a result of all the issues we experienced, we cannot give this property a positive rating.

The house was extremely beautiful and very clean

At first we had problems trying to contact the property manager through the app, but there was a glitch in the app and we got there property. Managers were really nice and helped us out and gave us a tour.
