We'd like to introduce you to our beautifully updated, historic, & unique home in Durant, OK - The Magnolia BE-Hive. Whether you are looking for a staycation, mini vacay, or a pitstop in your travels - this is the perfect home for you!
Do you like to pamper yourself while traveling or on vacation? Do you get easily excited and intrigued by ambiance, lovely décor, natural light, aesthetics, character, & unique spaces? If you answered "YES", then the Magnolia BE-Hive is THE perfect place for your next vacay! You'll find our home to be beautifully decorated with a curated selection of home décor items to compliment the unique character of the home. Minimalistic design with all of the necessary comforts of home.
The Magnolia BE-Hive is located in a great area near downtown Durant, Southeastern OK University, and within minutes of Choctaw Casino & Lake Texoma.
Our BE-Hive is beautifully decorated with all the necessary home comforts to make your stay an enjoyable one.
Neighborhood description
Durant has a small town feel to it and many of its residents have spent their whole lives in this area. You can take advantage of the local Walmart or neighborhood grocery store (Pruett's) for your shopping needs and you'll find several smaller local restaurants or national food chains in the area.
Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within a 3 min drive of Southeastern Oklahoma University and downtown Durant. There are one-way streets within a 3 mile radius of the home, be mindful of the one-way streets and the intermittent STOP signs. Please make sure to obey the speed limits.
We are also located within 7 minutes Choctaw Casino (3.6 miles) which has 16 restaurants, free parking, table games and slot machines, concert venue, movie theatre, bowling, and arcade/video games. If you are looking for an outdoor adventure, you can check out the well-known Lake Texoma (89k acres) which brings 8-10 million visitors a year. You can go fishing, boating, hiking, biking, wineries/distilleries, water sports and much more.
The Magnolia BE-Hive is the perfect home away from home in a unique area for you to explore or a beautiful home for you to relax in for a few days. You are only 20 min from the OK/TX border and 30 minutes from the bigger town of Sherman, TX with additional retail shopping options (Target, TJ Maxx, Kohls, JC Penny, Hobby Lobby, etc.) and restaurants (Mooyah, Texas Roadhouse, Chik-fil-a, Canes, etc.).

My name is Brian and my wife is Elvira, this is our 1st vacation home - we love it and are excited to share it with you. Being that Durant is known for Magnolia's and has an annual festival, we thought it would be befitting to include it in the name of the home. B - represents me (Brian) and E - represents my wife (Elvira) and this is our hive, hence the name Magnolia BE-Hive.
We are originally from CA and happily relocated our family to DFW (TX) in 2019. Our boys are 14 and 9 and we love spending time together as a family, enjoying the outdoors, playing games, and watching movies together. We value creating memories, new adventures, opportunities to laugh and have fun, and most importantly time together.

My wife and I decided to visit Durant on a whim to check out the Choctaw Casino. We had a great time and decided to check out a couple of local listings. We fell in love with the home and decided to take the plunge together and make it our 2nd home, which definitely feels like a home away from home, and rent it out when we weren't visiting. It's only a 1hr 40 min drive from our home which makes it a nice getaway from the bustling city into the more remote area of Durant, OK. The wonderful Choctaw Casino is only 7 min away (3.6 mi) and Lake Texoma is 10-30 min away depending upon what part of the east side of the lake you visit. We are also 3 min away from Southeastern Oklahoma University and downtown Durant. We are enjoying the opportunity to explore this area and local activities.

We absolutely love the old charm and character of this home, which we believe was originally built before 1938. It has been recently remodeled with new flooring, electrical, HVAC system, and plumbing. We were able to take the beautiful blank canvas of this home and truly make it a relaxing and enjoyable oasis away from our home. We love the 10ft designer ceilings, architectural design, porch and patio areas, the amount of natural light and space inside - it's truly a gem and we hope you love it too!
