Family Friendly Riverfront Home on Guadalupe. Large yard, kayaks, near downtown

Family friendly riverfront property, located on over 200 feet of private waterfront. The home sits on a little over one acre of lush grass with mature pecan trees shading the yard. Located in a quiet neighborhood which feels secluded while still being just 5 minutes from shopping and dining in downtown Seguin. Driving distance to New Braunfels, Outlet Malls, Schlitterbahn, San Antonio and Austin.

Outside includes a huge back yard, covered patio space to grill and entertain, swings, fire pit, basketball hoop, gaga ball pit, tetherball, swings, outdoor shower, kayaks and life jackets, bikes and other driveway toys. Plenty of parking and space for kids to ride bikes or scooter. The house is raised and requires stairs to access the main living/sleeping area. There is an elevator available for use upon special request (please inquire prior to arrival).

Inside offers fully stocked kitchen which is open to dining area and living space, washer and dryer, dishwasher, TVs , WiFi, central air/heat, books, movies, games and kids toys.

Please note that the GBRA recently lowered the water levels approximately 12 feet to begin the process of repairing the dam. There is still a beach entry and enough water to swim, fish, float and kayak, but the water levels are currently lower than shown in the photos on our listing.

We stayed over the 4th with a group of 12 (8 adults and 4 children) and had a blast! The guys fished every morning and they caught something each day! We kayaked, played in the river, enjoyed the firepit, and explored downtown Seguin and the Riverwalk. The kids also enjoyed the amusement park close-by. The house feels secluded yet close to shopping. The house was stocked and had tons of toys, bikes, puzzles, and river gear to use. I appreciate how attentive and kind the homeowner was as well. We made some wonderful memories:)

All about family

We were looking for a nice house, in a quiet area, on the river, a short drive to New Braunfels and San Antonio. River Bend in Sequin certainly delivered. It is a beautiful property with lots of shade for hot summer days . The house is very well maintained and had a great layout for our family of 11. The supplied kayaks, games and outdoor recreational equipment were awesome. The two person kayak was very nice, as we had small grandkids who couldn't have gotten out on the river without it. Very pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Fun 40th birthday with friends and family

The house was just as described and a beautiful setting. There was room for us to all gather together or divide up in the many sitting areas. Fire pit area, seats down by the river, alot of tables and chairs under the house. The house was well appointed and the kitchen had anything you would need to cook, bake or barbeque. The 3 year old loved the teepee and slept in it everynight. The bedrooms were spread out enough that you didn't hear things like the 3 month old awake at night. Have recommended this place to a friend for her family holiday. We did float the river in New Braunfels and rode the Cliff Coaster.

Cozy spot on the River

Our 3 families had a great time at the river and downstairs; so much fun stuff to do. Caught a few fish as well. House was cozy and had tons of room for everyone! There was plenty of shade and nice grass in the yard to get away from the heat. We enjoyed this property/home very much.

Best place on the river!

We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday with family at Meredith’s place. She has everything stocked with what you need for a perfect weekend getaway. My nieces and nephews enjoyed the swings, basketball court and they even played with the toy box filled with games, puzzles and toys. The location doesn’t get any better than this house. You’re right on the river, feels like you’re secluded from everything but still have an HEB and restaurants minutes away. My family wants to make this an annual trip, we'll definitely be back!

Great location with plenty of room and amenities

Only issue was during check in the door code did not work and need to add more wash cloths on the home. Other than those two minor issues it was very accessible from a location standpoint, the options to do many activities and have cookouts along with floating the river right there. Would definitely come back here and recommend to friends and family.

Texas Charm

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful home, located in a quiet neighborhood. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning walks in the countryside. We explored San Antonio, the Hill Country, Gruene, and the Tejas Rodeo. We had a fun time hanging out in the back yard and kayaking on the River.

Perfect getaway on the river

Perfect place to unwind with family. Home was comfortable and well equipped. The outdoor spaces are amazing. Kids had a blast playing outside. Fire pit is lovely.

Wow! What a place...

Our stay at this riverfront property was perfect! Location - amazing! Just 5-10 minutes from anything/everything Seguin has to offer. Cleanliness - outstanding! This place was one of the cleanest I've rented - inside and out! Details matter and this place thought of everything! The little things matter and I was very impressed with the thought and care of the property. The outside fire pit was perfert for the season. The patio was immaculately clean and even had an outdoor fridge, a fun game (ring on a string?). The view was perfect. The whole property was just amazing! We have friends in Seguin and surrounding area and we'll definitely book this place again when coming to town!

Lovely place

Had a nice stay at this beautiful home. Was very impressed with everything this house had to offer. Completely stocked kitchen with everything needed for us to make meals. Beds were very comfortable. It’s very clear that a lot of thought went into making sure you had everything you needed. Layout and access to the water as well as the beautiful view and quietness of the location. Loved it.

Perfect Family Vacation on the River

We do annual trips as a family, and this is by far our favorite house we've ever stayed in! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could have wanted. Even though the river is low, there is plenty of water for fishing, swimming, kayaking, etc. The yard and outdoor space is so great for kids. We will definitely be back!

The River Getaway

This property was in great condition, and made for an excellent backdrop to our summer family vacation. Seven adults and five grandchildren descended into the Riverside for our annual family vacation. Unfortunately, being the end of summer, the Guadalupe river was low, so we drove to the Comal for two days to float the river. But staying at the home was very nice. It accommodated our family very comfortably. Allowed us to play games and spend a lot of priceless time together.

Perfect family getaway

We enjoyed quality time with our three young adult children! We relaxed on the river, kayaked, played games, cooked and grilled and made great memories. We even made s’mores in the heat of the summer! Precious time just like when they were all little ones! The house is in a great location to go tubing on the Comal or Guadalupe and so close to the town of Seguin. But the house is in a very quiet spot on the river, full of nature and peace! The house has every amenity - indoors and out!

Wonderful River Property

Everything was absolutely perfect from the time we arrived to the time we left! There were so many games to play and toys for the kids! We all had a great time! We took several walks down to the river and the kids loved the kayaks. We will definitely be going back in the future. Thank you!

Paradise on the river

Absolutely beautiful hidden gem in Seguin! The house was so organized and clean and comfortable and the owners thought of everything you would need for your stay! Didn’t have to leave to buy anything (except personal food) because it’s so well stocked. The backyard is truly relaxing! Those who seek outdoor adventure, just walk further in the backyard to the river to fish or kayak! Grandchildren loved it! The Easter egg hunt was exciting because the backyard is sooo big! The kids loved running around to find them! Thank you for a memorable stay at Pecan Bend! We will be back!! Christine C

Peaceful and Relaxing - Perfect Get-Away

Who knew you could find such a gem of a get-away so close to San Antonio. The property was gorgeous with incredible trees and such a big yard leading down to the river! The house was perfect, loved the furnishings and fully stocked kitchen, and the bunk room was great for the kids! Weather was too cold to swim or kayak, but the fire pit was awesome and large enough for our group. Such a peaceful spot, we all looking forward to coming back again soon!

Incredible property with everything you need

We had a college roommate reunion weekend with our families at the Pecan Bend house and WOW, what a beautiful property! Everything was as pictured. The house was clean and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We visited in November and a cold front came through that weekend so we really enjoyed being able to eat s’mores around the fire pit that’s right by the water! We could relax and watch our kids skip rocks, fish, and explore the property. The lawn is really well maintained and the trees were beautiful. It also felt very secluded and private. We had a group of 6 small kids so we appreciated that everything was baby proof in the house. There were movies for the kids and we watched college football and enjoyed grilling out. The kids also played in the driveway and it was nice that there were bikes, toys, and balls available for the kids to play with. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bedrooms all worked out great for our families, especially the bunk room! We also skipped into town which is only 10 minutes away and did some antique shopping and ate at Burnt Bean which had amazing BBQ. It was also great that everything was conveniently located like HEB, Walmart, and Home Depot. Overall this was an amazing stay and would highly recommend it any time of year!

Family Friendly River Retreat!!

If you are looking for a place that feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle of life, look no further. This charming river front house truly had it all! Let's start with the exterior- there is SO much room to play outside, including many areas that are covered. Basketball, kayaking, swinging, watching the game on the patio- this house has it all. The seating area down near the water was the perfect morning coffee spot. The interior was incredibly clean, spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kids LOVED the bunk room, and we loved how easy it was to cook and be together as a family both inside and out. This house could easily fit multiple families-- 10/10 recommend!!
