Glad the fishing was good. The river can be high & fast or slow & lazy. Not sure which I prefer. And the weather definitely has a mind of it's own! Lots to see & do regardless of the weather. Come back!

I am so sorry regarding the unbelievable hot spell you experienced this summer. In normal weather years, the keeping house cool system (whole house fan etc) was adequate. 2019 heat wave has determined we will install a/c on our return in September. Come back again & we'll try to make path to river easier to access. Rose

I am so sorry you felt mislead. I'm sorrier still that you didnt give me a chance to rectify the overfilled returnable bottle can, nor provide someone to take the heavy trash cans to the road. Especially since I repeatedly stressed in routine communications to please contact me immediately if something wasn't satisfactory so that i could make it right and avoid anyone being dissatisfied. In light of the my in-depth communications with you (mostly all renters have thanked me for this)& the condition of the house, property, & many extra's I go out of my way to stock the house with to make guests who stay live's easier; I would think you might have given me the benefit of the doubt. With regard to dog walking, i wasnt aware of the road being inappropriate since I frequently see people walking, biking,and walking their dogs on the road. However, had you given me a chance, i could have told you that a block away provides sidewalks that run along the river. Back to your concerns, i am thinking there were way too many occupants the previous week to generate so much trash/recyclables & returnables. I have since learned that excessive laundry caused the cleaners to run late. I apologized for your dissatifaction and as a result invited you to return for another week. I value & have earned my label of being an outstanding host & other than widening the road, the problems you faced were out of the ordinary & could have been rectified, if given the chance.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay, however concerned that you were less than satisfied with river access & cleanliness of the house. Had I known sooner I would've immediately followed up with lawn service & housekeeper, so that they could've rectified the issues. Obviously I need to somehow better stress to guests that it's important to me that i have the opportunity to address asap any concern they might have,. It really is my intent that others enjoy my house as much as I do-and i am sorry if you spent any time feeling less than satisfied. Rose

I'll attempt to respond to your lengthy review! I am very sorry about the mosquitoes, but agree the many rainy days are the culprit, as we do have routine pest control. Not sure what you consider an older home, as we only completed it in 5/2012. The 5 hanging lights on the deck can be taken down to replace the batteries, and I can do it that way w/o a ladder. I pay my cleaning crew $170 & charge guests $150 & feel lucky to have them, when workers are so scarce. I'm hesitant to ask them to clean the barbecue grill, or the river bank. Yes, the master bedroom is tight, but have paid for 2 queen mattresses and use Q sheets. If you're right, I'll have to get a refund! As you appreciated some aspects of the house, come again.
