Didn’t get the code until 7:30 at night which is 2.5 less access time from the total 17 hours we rented the house. Luckily ran into the cleaner on her way out who called the host since the host wasn’t responding to messages on the app nor phone calls. House was clean but little room in the frig to put food/drinks and no space to hang up or store clothes. House was clearly someone’s normal residence as all their stuff (food/drinks/clothes) was there. Had to submit photo ids for people staying which I’ve never had to do for any rental. Repeatedly mentioned only 4-5 adults were allowed in the house. Not even staying overnight but 4-5 adults at any time like they counting how many people were there somehow…..No information provided in the house like a booklet or binder on house rules or how to work items in the house. House information was sent 3 hours after supposed occupancy in the form of a long message via the app.

unexpected upgrade

The advertised apartment was not available, but got switched to another, larger one in the same building without an upcharge.Water from taps smelled like mildew. Didn't bother to taste it, bought bottled.Only 3 trash cans in the whole 3BR apt.Giant gnome statue in living room was disconcerting.Apartment space itself was nice.

Eric’s place was comfortable and in a great location. Eric was friendly and helpful with recommendations, and it was a good place to stay for an overnight trip to Columbus.

SCAM

Booked the house. Messaged owner about a earlier check in time. Everything was ok then owner told me he had another booking request and wanted to see if they wanted the place but offered another unit they had down the street. Keep in mind that unit was not through VRBO. I said no and tried to cancel my request to book. Reached out multiple times to VRBO who also told the owner to cancel and he would not. Owner booked stay and then the next morning tried to move me again to a different unit due to a hot water tank suddenly exploding. I said no and called VRBO. We both (VRBO) attempted over 10x to get in touch with the owner to no success. Do not book with this person. It is a scam!!!!!

An easy stay

Eric made the process extremely smooth from the booking, check in, and checking out. He was extremely responsive if I had any last minute questions and overall was a pleasure to communicate with! I recommend a stay here to any group of friends since it is so close to the short north!
