The Basin House is located in the foothill community of Meadview — a quiet desert town known for having one of the densest Joshua Tree forests in the region.

The home sits in a residential area with neighbors nearby, while still offering open desert views, peaceful surroundings, and big skies.
Out back, you’ll see the Grand Wash Cliffs canyon views, and from the front, you can enjoy soft desert sunrises and glowing sunsets. At night, the skies turn dark and clear — perfect for stargazing.

While the house has a very humble exterior, the interior was absolutely tremendous! Beautiful mattresses, pillow pillows, and sheets. Really well equipped kitchen. For a small ranch, the house felt very spacious. Great back patio with a beautiful sunset view of the Ridgeline.Tippi was a great host!

This home had everything we needed and more! Comfy beds, plush towels, K-cups, and shampoo! House was spotless and check in was easy! We enjoyed 3 meals at The Boathouse restaraunt right up the street, and the view was amazing! Highly recommend!

Loved this home!! Very comfortable, clean & fresh. It is well stocked with everything you could need. Convenient to the Grand Canyon SkyWalk, Guano Point and an easy drive to Lake Mead. It is off the beaten path, but worth it! Would definitely stay again

Host was great! House was comfortable and well stocked. The hot water temp never reached hot… and was a disappointment. You probably have it set that way. None of us were a fan of that! All in all …. a good stay that could’ve been a great stay!

We loved the town of Meadview! Wished we could have stayed longer. The house was perfect for the 5 of us! Plenty of beds, towels and space. The host was easy to work with and quick to respond. We enjoyed the quiet location as we prepared for our 4 day backpacking trip into the Grand Canyon. Thanks again. We’ll most likely be back!

Property was as pictured on VRBO, very well stocked, clean, plenty of room for 4 adults, laundry available, perfect for our visit to the West Rim. Must eat at local restaurant , The Boathouse A, food & service.

Amazing view of stars at night and house was cozy. If you want to get away from all the noise perfect place to stay. House was beautiful and family enjoyed staying in and then star gazing at night.
