Nestled in the scenic Blackfoot Valley, this charming studio cabin/tiny home offers a perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy world-class fly fishing on the renowned Blackfoot River or the North Fork of the Blackfoot River, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing at nearby lakes. The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is right in your backyard for endless adventure. Traveling with livestock? Corrals are available—please inquire for details. Our little cabin has it all, with a fully functional kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. A propane fireplace to warm up after playing in the snow. The breath taking views from the windows are hard to beat. Walking distance to the town Ovando with it’s interesting history museum, Blackfoot Angler fishing supplies, the Stray Bullet restaurant and the Blackfoot Commercial which has a little of everything you might need, and also walking distance to Trixi’s Bar & Restaurant.

Dena and Bill were excellent hosts and I only wish I had more time to stay longer. I wish them the very best and I truly enjoyed their property and hospitality!I would highly recommend a stay with them and would also recommend eating at Trixy’s for your evening meals! :-)

It’s not often a property is even better than the online pictures, description and reviews. This well-built, adorable cabin exceeded our expectations in absolutely every way! We opted for a 45-minute late night drive to stay here after a concert at Kettlehouse rather than a short easy drive to a hotel in Missoula, and were so glad we did! Property is beautiful, cabin had everything we needed and more, and was immaculately kept. Highly recommend staying here!

We just stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our host, Bill and Dena was amazing, Maddie the dog was sweet, Ned, Nate and Reba were all a pleasure. The grass felt so good under our toes and the sunset, oh so beautiful. Thanks for the amazing stay. Make sure you go do to Ovando. Great small town.

Great stay

We used the cabin as a place to stay during our hunting trip. The cabin was much better than the hunting, unfortunately. Very comfortable and a great relaxing place to stay after a few long days.

The cabin was exactly what I expected. It is clean and cozy. Dena and her dog Maggie were both super sweet (she even had fresh scones baked for our arrival). There are horses, mules and chickens on the property that added to the experience. It has beautiful views and was close to the Blackfoot River for fishing. I would highly recommend staying here.

Ovando

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ovando. Our hosts, Bill and Dena were so welcoming and were available to help if needed. We had lots of privacy but also enjoyed the little town. Breakfast was great at The Stray Bullet! We also had a hamburger at Trixies diner that was delicious. All in all we were delighted with the stay.

Everything we wanted and more

Just a nice way to get away. Chickens clucking, wind blowing, water sounds, and lots of rest and time together with my husband. Just a nice way to get away.

Great retreat for hunting

My dad, husband and son wanted to go for a quick weekend hunt. We found this cute cabin in ovando and the boys had so much fun. Cribbage was their favorite.

We have lived in Ovando for most of our lives, we enjoy camping, fishing and horseback riding. Spending time in the mountains of Montana is our favorite pastime. Winters are long in Montana so we spend as much time outdoors as possible all summer.

The cabin is walking distance from Ovando and Trixi’s the famous bar/restaurant in town. Also close to numerous trailheads to access the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The cabin was our COVID project, the first major thing we have ever built. It is a cozy little cabin in our little slice of heaven. We have made this cabin a special place to stay.
