Great location but needs updating

Ekahi location in Wailea is great, and we loved the amenities offered by the complex (pools, beach access, pavilion, grills, etc). Ali’I Resorts was communicative and easy to work with from the time of booking until departure. Unfortunately, the unit was very outdated and needs a variety of repairs and/or overall renovation. We will definitely look to stay in a more updated unit next time.

Great location

This is a fantastic location with direct access to the beach and pool. The condo suited us well with two bedrooms and adjoining baths plus a Murphy bed on the main floor. Beds were very comfortable and AC worked well. Kitchen was not stocked well with condiments - not even cooking oil or salt. Also no extras for the beach - boogie boards, snorkels, wagon for beach stuff , small cooler only that would fit about 4 beer cans pickle ball racquets, ( even though there was a court right next to the condo) .

We no longer provide boogie boards, beach umbrellas, or snorkel gear due to liability. We work closely with a few companies that will deliver and pick up beach gear directly at the condo. Family of Seven, perfect fit!

We stayed at Ekahi 30B over Christmas for 16 nights with our three adult children and two of their partners. We only had all seven of us there for eight days, and I was worried about the space, but it was perfect! The beds were comfortable and the Murphy bed is super easy to use and comfortable. The location is ideal with the BBQs, pickleball and a small pool right out front. The main pool and beach are a very short walk away. The main pool gets busy with younger kids and families but we spent most of our time at the beach and exploring the island. Shops of wailea are a short walk away with many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The unit had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked. We took our own boogie boards, there are no toys or boards provided. They did provide four beach chairs. Would stay here again for sure!

Great home base in Wailea

We loved the condo complex. Felt like we were staying in a botanical garden. Main pool, pool house were great and steps away from a great beach. Also, the Ekani complex is next door to the Andaz. We ate there three nights and liked all three, would also recommend the luau at the Andaz. The unit itself is cozy but not fancy. Bathrooms and kitchen are original, probably 1980’s. Everything worked and was clean but you won’t be blown away when you walk in the door. The management company does a good job maintaining it. They were easy to work with, the unit was well stocked and well labeled. If we came back I would look for an updated unit in the Ekani complex but would also stay here again. View from the second floor balcony was great. Note master bed is either a double or a queen.

We have stayed in different units at Ekahi for years. This unit is in dire need of updating.Old furniture, very uncomfortable beds, similar to college beds, Unit needs a deep cleaning and pest control.Ants all over the kitchen, Again staying in other units on this property they DID NOT HAVE THIS problem. Cockroaches in the bathrooms!!Kitchen is stocked with old dishes, really just odds and ends that you might find at a garage sale. Unit is in a good location near pickle ball court and BBQ area.Its too bad that the owner does not update this unit, Outdoor furniture is at least 20 years old. The upholstery on couches, dining chairs and out door cushions were badly stained and dirty. Management did have a service come in to clean these items they literally changed color.Management also left bait boxes for ants however they are everywhere. When arriving first thing you notice is bait boxes in each corner of the kitchen, and brooms hanging on the wall as you enter! I don't know why anyone would rent this unit as there are so many rentals on the property. I find an 8 score on this unit way to high, its more like a 2.Outdoor storage closet is a mess, beach items just thrown in a heap, Has not been swept out in years, A true disgrace to what could be a nice unit.Be careful which unit you rent.
