We came to Israel to visit with family. Families being families, it was also important for us to have a place that we felt was our own.
Initially, we took a different property which was more low-end. We didn't feel comfortable inviting people over. We were also bummed by a number of issues.
Eventually, we decided that our happiness was more important than the trouble of switching a place. In retrospect, a very good decision! This place is just gorgeous. Keep in mind, this was middle of winter and still the garden was wonderful and we felt very at home.
The place itself is an old, converted farmhouse, very good taste in the layout and interior design. The owner was very nice and accommodating as well.
The things to know:
1. We couldn't find room to store our many suitcases (there was enough room for the contents). The owner stored them for us at her own office.
2. The shower is a curtained area with a low barrier on the floor. You need to accept that it's not enclosed. Personally, I would have preferred if it was enclosed, but not a big deal.
3. TV is a small CRT. Surprisingly, it was just fine given the layout of the living room.
4. Getting heavy suitcases all the way to the room takes a bit of an effort (need to go up an incline, some stairs and a short gravel walkway). Make sure you're ok with it or plan to have someone help you. Maybe the owner can help find someone if there's a need.
Otherwise, they have 3 A/Cs, so everyone can get their way. Furniture is very comfortable and in good taste. Sheets and towels are of very good material. There's a bunch of supplies already there that you can use. Not to mention the fairly short walk to Zichron's midrachov, the touristy center of the town with plenty of shops and places to eat. I recommend the 'HaNadiv', especially because they deliver. There's plenty of parking on the street if you have a car.
We had a wonderful time and are set on coming back on our next visit.
