Nice place, but not ready for our arrival
I’ll start with the positive. We arrived early and were able to check in. The location of the condo was great. Lots of things to do all around. A nice walking trail across the street, which was great for our dog. The condo appeared clean, but more on that later. I had to talk with property management a lot the first day and Kendra was very responsive, but once we asked for a refund for just one day out of our four we heard nothing back.
Why did we ask for a small refund? The house was not ready for us upon arrival. There was a massive bee nest on the stairway leading up to the front door. We are very lucky no one got stung as we didn’t see it until we were in the middle of all the bees. We called management and they quickly sent over maintenance to take care of it. Later, after returning from the lake we tried using the water and discovered there wasn’t any. I called Kendra and was initially told they couldn’t get someone there until 9am the following day. When I told her that was unacceptable because we need to use the bathroom, shower, cook, cleanup, etc she got a technician to come that evening. In the meantime, the the battery to the thermostat went low, so technician replaced that. However, the three story until got really hot, esp 3rd floor. We had to crank the ac down to make upstairs comfortable to sleep in, which made the basement freezing. We pulled out blankets from the closet and they smelled sour. It was use them or freeze.
No boat slip, no twin beds in loft.
