Helpful tips like ongoing construction

The communication, check in, and cleanliness were fine, this property just did not work well for our group. Location 1. No sidewalks for the 10 minute not 5 minute walk to the beach - dangerous with kids. 2. A taxi or rental car is needed - very few restaurants and stores within walking distance. Property 1. No tv in the living room only bedrooms - prevented us from watching sports and movies together at night 2. No dryer only washer - inconvenient 3. Very small pool 4. Ongoing construction that starts at 7am 5. Had to buy paper towels and additional tissue

Disappointed.

There were several mitigating factors for the disappointment. The property manager that we initially dealt with, Maggie, did not follow through on our dealing with VRBO on changing our dates. They were kind enough to allow us to check in early. After the first day there some obvious issues that needed to dealt with and we contacted the property manager and explained what the problems were. The first issue was the fridge in that it wasn't keeping food cool, The fridge was set at 9, the coldest setting and the drinks, water, juice, milk and refreshments were not cold at all. The ice cream in the freezer was soft and not frozen. We even tried to putting the milk in the freezer to have it stay cold. The second issue was the dishwasher. When we used the dishwasher the electrical breaker would trip. They were told this and never did fix the problem, so we had to hand wash the dishes for our entire stay. One morning we woke up to a large pool of water in the dining area. We called the property manager and they responded in a timely manner. It was never determined where the water came from, but they insinuated that we were playing with the ice maker water line which we, in fact, never touched. The ice maker was not operational the whole time we were there.The hot water system didn't work the first day as there was a setting that was improper. We were fortunate to have access to the room that had the mechanical as it is located with the wash machine. The listing indicates a washing machine, but apparently it is only available for stays longer than 10 days and you have to pay a $45.00 fee to use. FYI - there is no dryer. We also showed the manager the condition of the fry pans as they were well beyond being usable. They were to be replaced, but we never saw the new pans. Teflon coated pans that are scratched are dangerous to your health when used in that condition. If you have small children, one has to careful for the stairs as there is no guard railing on the open side. The balcony in the master suite would be a nice sitting area, but there is no furniture. Overall we were very disappointed in the unit. I will not be returning to this property, nor can I recommend it to anyone else. As a side note, we were owners of a condo in Maui, and dealt with VRBO and know how important it is to respond to travellers' needs, once it is brought to your attention. Failure to respond is not a good way to grow your client list. Boomer N

Property was perfect for a stay at Eagle Beach

The property was clean and nicely decorated. The temperature was well controlled and comfortable. It was quiet and secure. The Host made sure we had everything that we needed and a concierge showed us all the access and features of the property and was available for any questions that came up. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. A cooler and ice machine were available to use making day trips around the island comfortable. The property is a 5 minute walk from Eagle beach and there are restaurants and casinos in short walking distance.

Wonderful stay near Eagle Beach, Aruba!

This is our second year staying in Mayi's wonderful Eagle Beach townhouse, which perfectly suits our needs as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10. The townhouse is spacious and quiet, with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs, and a half-bathroom, kitchen, and living area downstairs. We make use of the kitchen and appreciate that Superfoods Plaza is 5 minutes away by car. Eagle Beach, which we love, is a short walk or a shorter drive. We love the location of the townhouse because we can easily access gorgeous beaches, downtown, the Palm Beach area, and restaurants and attractions on any other part of the island. We always rent a car and love that there's a designated space for it in the townhouse parking area. Our kids love the pool and can use it anytime when they don't feel like going to the beach. Mayi, the owner, is also a really friendly and kind person who is a pleasure to communicate with. We highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

Comfort of home while traveling!

The townhouse was perfect for our stay in Aruba. We did have a rental car, which made experiencing the island easier as you are away from the high rises and restaurants. Meeting to get the key and checking out to return the key was easy and went smoothly. The beds were comfortable and the place was really clean. Also being in a gated community helped us relax on vacation knowing that we were safe. One thing we found (we stayed in the room with the King) is that the air conditioning worked better if you kept the bathroom and bedroom doors closed as it really held in the cool air! Would absolutely recommend and look forward to staying here again when we come back to visit!

Nice condo in a quiet area

My stay was from June 27th - July 1, 2018. Great condo in a gated area. The condo was clean and comfortable for my girls group of 4. The only negative was that the WiFi for unit 8 wasn’t working, The towels and washcloths have seen better days so I advise taking your own, and the light outside the front door needs to be replaced. It’s in a pretty quiet area with limited restaurants within walking distance. I would advise a rental car for daily outings to more active areas. It was a short walk to the beach, but there is no sidewalk, luckily not much vehicle traffic except for crossing the main road. I would stay again as long as I have a rental car.

A Place Of Comfort With The Feeling Of Being Home

The unit was picture perfect. Everything that was shown in the details was there. My wife and I enjoyed it to the last morning. There was nothing to add but the food to cook. Everything needed to enjoy the island was there. There were beach chairs, two coolers, beach towels, and more. The unit was very clean and spacious. The grounds were nicely done and kept up everyday. We had a rental car and the gated entry was a great plus. The pool area was clean and the noise level was low. We had our breakfast outside every morning. The view from our patio is still in our minds. Since the location is in a quiet section. You heard no noise from cars or loud parties. It's romantic at heart. When we decide to visit our friends there again. We will look to book this property. I would like to add that the unit#8 bldg.#2 needs a front porch light.

Very Nice!!!

Everything from the beginning was great! Communication was always prompt. Pictures do not deceive, it is very beautiful! It is close to the beach, casinos, restaurants, all within a 15 minute walk, but I ended up hurting my knee during one of the activities we did so ended up driving everywhere, which I do recommend is renting a car, you do have 1 designated space and it's a gated complex, so it worked out great! We didn't get to spend much time in the town home but it is very spacious, we had 6 adults (2 couples and 2 singles) each room has 2 beds. The master has a King and a Twin with lots of closet space and full bathroom, the next room has a queen and twin, with a full bathroom right outside the room. There is also a half bath downstairs near the kitchen. The master bedroom also has a balcony facing the gardens. I unfortunately did not get to enjoy the pool since it was hard for me to hobble along with my injury, but it is beautiful and has a nice shaded seating area, literally steps away from the patio. Kitchen has basically everything you needed, with the exception of food, lol. They also do offer beach chairs, beach towels, and cooler which were great! Only issue we had was with the WiFi, but it wasn't a big deal since we were almost always out and about. Wasn't til our last day we realized that the router wasn't connected. So if WiFi is absolutely necessary for you, that would be the 1st thing I would ask on arrival. If we would get the chance to go to Aruba again, I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and quiet home!

The condo was spotless! Plenty of room for the three of us. It was beautiful inside and out. The pool changing colors at night was definitely a surprise. I would definitely rent again when we go back to Aruba!

Jardines Del Mar, Unit #8, Eagle Beach condo DELIGHTFUL!

The four of us had looked so forward to go to Aruba! The day before our departure we got 32" of snow at home and our flights were cancelled for the next day. American Airlines was able to rebook the four of us on Friday morning with flights right thru to Aruba. The owner, Marjorie Zamora was able to let us stay TWO more days beyond our original booking! Thank God! We didn't want to give any time up! Miss Dirima, her concierge, was called by the taxi driver before we left the airport ($22). Miss Dirima opened the security upon our arrival and showed us to the condo. Everything was spotless, neat and welcoming as she showed us through the two floor condo! She then handed us the keys for the door and gates. Our taxi driver told us the next day was "Flag Day" and stores would be closed - so get groceries today. Miss Dirima called us a taxi ($7) and we went to a fantastic Super Store. $10 taxi to get home because we were using trunk space. On Monday we called Marjorie's recommendation - MOREFORLESS. Richard gave us a super price for the week, along with the use of a jeep on Wednesday. He gave us maps and showed us the "hot spots" we should see. We highly recommend him! Thank you, Marjorie, Miss Dirima and Richard for making our stay in "heaven" so memorable!

Great place

This is a lovely condo in a great location. It is very well equipped and the pool area is very nice. Like the ad says, it is a five minute walk from Eagle beach. It is centrally located from Palm Beach (high rise hotels, casinos, restaurants, shopping)and Oranjestad (cruise ships, shopping, restaurants). Like other reviewers said a vehicle is recommended. We rented a jeep and were able to explore the whole island. A parking space was provided for us and the condo is in a gated enclosure for security. There is a bus stop near by and taxis are available. We had no experience with either so cannot comment on them. This is a great condo for families.

Satisfied after a rough start

We were quite disappointed when we arrived because the property that we rented for a week was occupied by someone else who arrived earlier that day. We were asked to take another unit which was not ready and was not representative of what we paid and rented. We were told that check in is at 3:00 and we arrived after 4. We were able to make arrangements to get the unit that we rented but had to wait a couple of hours to check in. This was not the way we would have hoped to start our vacation. Miss Direma, the "concierge" was confused upon our arrival and had mixed up arrival dates, which is why we had to wait 3 extra hours past check in to access our correct unit. The pictures online are representative of the unit. The surrounding area of the condo complex is not very manicured like palm beach, and not very inviting, though it safe and we always felt comfortable. The location was fine and the beach was excellent. We usually ended up driving to the beach because it would have been too much work to cary all of our stuff to the beach. There is a small pool in the condo complex which we did use. If you choose to rent this unit, you must be aware that a rental car is necessary,as there is nothing around the surrounding complex except for Dr. Horacio Hospital and Aqua Indies, a scuba diving shop. We would consider going back to Aruba in the future, however I would look else where to stay.

a lovely comfortable home

We stayed early December and had a great time. The property was beautiful, clean, and comfortable with the amenities of home. The 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms were nice and clean. The gated grounds were well kept and though the pool was small it was adequate, clean, and not busy at all. We went to the Super Food (big grocery store) and bought breakfast/lunch items to make at the condo. There were some beach supplies such as chairs and a cooler which was a nice convenience but we just used the beach towels. Even though Eagle Beach and some of the restaurants are in walking distance, there are no sidewalks per se so it's mostly street and dirt paths. We felt safe at all time and took taxis to various places, which we didn't have any problems even at night. Taxis were very prompt, friendly and the pricing was fair/consistent. It was our first time using Home Away, the email communications with the owner was prompt and courteous. We would definitely come back and stay. It was wonderful to have the creature comforts of home while away and we appreciated an updated home. :) Thanks again Marjorie!

Wonderfull !!

I was in another great vacation with my family which we usually repeat every year and this time Aruba seemed like the best option to go. We rented this precious townhouse located in a centric place and near the beach about 5 min walking. As soon as we arrived Dirima (the maid) set us up. She was very friendly and helpful. The hole house was beautiful as the rooms where too. In the morning we spent time at the pool and I got to say, just like the pictures on the website, beautiful and clean. We had a great time in Aruba and we are very glad we chose to stay at this place. I personally recommend Jardines Del Mar for a pleasant, quiet and peaceful family vacation. Gloria M.

Perfect place to stay in Aruba

Cybel's townhouse is our favorite place. My wife and I count the days every year till we can be there. The townhouse has every comfort of home! Wifi, flatscreen tvs, a full kitchen, cooler, chairs and towels for the beach, and anything else you could want. The townhouse is immaculate, and the grounds, and pool are beautiful and private. It is also gated. Dirima is always visible and willing to help with anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Friends staying at one of the big hotels came to visit us, and they were very jealous of our great accommodations. We snorkel almost everyday, and Boca Catalina is our favorite spot in all of the Caribbean! We will be back again next year, and hopefully every year after that!! Thanks Cybel

Very nice property. Condo and grounds were very well kept up.

The condo was very clean and comfortable. The pictures on the VRBO site are very accurate. It was well stocked with dinnerware, glassware, utensils, etc.. If you don't have a rental car, it's still a very easy walk to the beach, where restaurants and drinking establishments are plentiful. Without a rental car, taxis are very available to go to Palm Beach and Oranjestad for additional shopping, eateries, and casinos. Cab drivers weren't familiar with the name of the complex but once we told them that it was directly across the street from the hospital they had no problem getting us there. As we were there with another couple, It would have been more convenient to have a second remote opener for the gate, for when we went our separate ways. All in all, we had a wonderful time and I would recommend the property to friends and family.

Great Condo in a great location!

We stayed at this condo for over 2 weeks and it was the best choice! The condo itself is just as pictured, very clean and Miss Dirima was always available and helpful. We toured the whole island and by far this is the best location. It's quiet, steps from the pool which we had to ourselves most times and very close to the best white sandy Eagle Beach,( no stones like you have at the high rise locations), yet we could walk to great restaurants like Screaming Eagle and Zuzurohs and Chalet Suisse. Marjorie was great and super helpful when we booked and while we were at the condo she texted to be sure everything was okay. We loved it and would love to return next year! Steve and Karen Brandt

Best Aruba Getaway!!

This vacation rental was more of a home. Three bathrooms, two full bedrooms, flat screen TV's, and a full kitchen. The patio was a nice place to enjoy my coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. The pool area was very clean and quiet and we were often the only ones there. The entire facility was immaculate and very well maintained. More importantly, when I forgot to turn the lights off on my car, the battery was dead the next day and another tenants came to my rescue. Darima the woman in charge of the condominium, found a wonderful tenant, Vanessa to give me jumper cables. Then she brought her car over to jump my car.. I love Aruba, but I really love Cybel's townhouse, next time I go back, I will feel like I am visiting family. Kris B

Love Aruba - Clifton NJ

Thank you very much Marjorie for letting us stay in your BEAUTIFUL townhouse. This townhouse has everything you need for the perfect vacation, It is clean and well kept inside and out. Miss Dirima the Concierge was very nice and helpful with questions and anything you may need. It is in walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants, however, I do recommend renting a car as the taxi's do not frequent this area as much as the high rise hotel area. You will need a car to go to a food store. We enjoyed our stay so much we are looking forward to returning next year.

A Home away from Home

Just spent 2 weeks at this lovely townhouse and it was perfect! Close to beach, lots of amenities and spacious. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay- well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds, hot showers and lots of closet space. It had a great little back patio to enjoy a morning tea and a late night cocktail. The property was well-maintened and Miss Dirima was always available to address any concerns. We would highly recommend this townhouse. If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it!

just lovely

weve stayed for 1 month: aug 2014 off approx 30 appartments, max only about were occupied the property as very well taken care off, so was the appartment had everything you could possibly need and boh the groundsman and the owner (Cybel Zamora) were more than friendly and helpfull absolutely more than valeu for money the beach just a stroll away, perfect pool, enormous garden, bbq facillities... just great situated just in between highrise and downtown: everything closeby perfect for stays wiht younger children overall: safe, clean, complete, very nice and pleasant, just perfect....strong recommendation !!!!!! enjoy your upcoming stay!!

Perfect Aruba vacation rental

My wife and I were in Cybel's townhouse for two weeks. It was the perfect place for us. It was even more beautiful and spacious than the website showed. All we needed to bring was our bathing suits. The townhouse had everything else. The manager and groundskeeper, Dirima and Carlos live at the complex to answer all questions and requests. We had the pool area to ourselves almost any day. When another couple stayed with us, we had total privacy, each having our own bath and shower. The back porch has a hose to rinse our snorkel equipment. The washer was a total bonus, and the refrigerator was huge. Everything is brand new and very tastefully decorated. There is a place for breakfast next door, and a dive shop next to that. Even though Aruba is a very safe island, it was reassuring to have the rental car inside of a locked gate. Our favorite thing to do off the property was the Jolly Pirates boat trip, and we snorkeled everyday. Overall, this place is immaculate and was way above our expectations. Cybel, thank you so much for sharing you beautiful home with us, we will be back next year to see you again.

Im the property manager of this townhouse which is a family property divided in four owners; Cybel, Pedro, Marjorie, and Bjorn.

We are all from Venezuela except Bjorn who is from Finland. Bjorn and my aunt Cybel are married; they live between Finland, Aruba, and Venezuela. My aunt is a graphic designer and has her own Marketing Business. Pedro is my uncle, he is an engineer, lives in Venezuela, and never takes vacations, he loves to work and to be with family. Marjorie is my mother; she works with my aunt in their marketing company, she’s always traveling between Venezuela, Miami, and Aruba.

Aruba is a safe place to be, out of the hurricane belt. It’s a place to relax, minor traffic, friendly and nice local people.
