Located right at the tip of Michigan’s Thumb, Port Austin is one of the rare places where you can catch both sunrise and sunset over the stunning waters of Lake Huron. Known for its natural beauty, this area offers incredible hiking opportunities—including the iconic Turnip Rock—and endless outdoor adventure.

Our cozy, centrally located cottage sits on the peaceful south side of M-25, just minutes from downtown Port Austin and Caseville. Whether you’re looking for a summer escape, a fall color tour, or a snowy winter retreat, this rental is available year-round. Summer is a favorite with its long beach days and warm nights, but autumn brings breathtaking foliage, and winter offers a serene, snow-covered quiet that’s perfect for recharging.

No access is provided to the garage. Back bedroom (blue room) closet is our personal. The front (yellow) bedroom closet is for guest use.

Love the cozy cabin. Only problem is that the lock box is hard to get into. The one full bed on outside wall is not comfortable. But overall loved it.

We had such a great time at this Port Austin cozy cabin. When you first arrive, you are greeted by a beautifully landscaped yard with both a side and back deck, there is also a fire pit, a horseshoe pit, and a basketball net in the driveway. I was impressed by the cleanliness, and we truly had everything we could need and more: washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, fridge, air fryer, waffle maker, full kitchen utensils, stacks of towels and extra blankets... The beds were very comfortable too. I slept great every night! This cabin was close to everything too, tons of beaches to check out, and Sandy Dunes was a must visit. My daughter loved the kindness of the host hanging a "Happy Birthday" banner for her. I can very easily recommend a stay here, and we would love to come back next summer.

Our stay here was perfect for our family with two young boys! Enjoyed beach days, bonfires, walking the town, putt putt golf and kayaking! The house was very comfortable for us and had everything we needed. Thank you for the stay!

Nice get away

The house was great. Very clean and had everything we needed. We did a lot of hiking in the area. Also ate at The Farm Restaurant very good. Overall a nice weekend.

The house and room sizes were perfect for the family for our stay. One thing that was inconvenient was the bathroom toilet. It’s a low toilet and there is nothing near it to use to get up for older adults like a vanity counter or bar.

We rent all year round! Summer is of course the most popular. However, if your wanting a getaway to see the fall colors or a relaxing winter weekend we are the destination. We have a large yard with a bonfire pit. There is a wood burning stove for those fall and winter nights where you just want to relax. In the winter the frozen lake is beautiful! There are local snow hills, cross country skiing trails, snow shoeing. Downtown Port Austin has a small ice rink with equipment rental available.
