Top Notch Stay, AAA+

Very clean and spacious, quaint and relaxing. An absolute hidden gem. All three bedrooms were a large space and master bedroom had it's own bathroom. The kitchen was great to prepare meals and hang out. The property was very well kept and contact with the host was always easy and was always there for a call or text. Mr. Gary shared some of the best locations to visit and further enhanced our trip. The property estate compound was beautiful and felt very homely, the large clean center pool was amazing and had great outdoor space for activities, the playground was also a big plus, not to mention the private beach just outside the estate within a 4 minute drive which was located perfectly off the road and well maintained. Definitely would recommend and look forward to staying here again.

Great experience

This was one of the best vacation I had in a long time.. The place is safe and great for family we all loved. The kids enjoyed themselves everyday at the pool.. Its not too far from St Ann Bay you can do shopping/grocery. Lots of attractions near by.. this is 2 thumbs up 👍 Ps. The host and Manager were great..

Friends stay for wedding

We stayed here from Dec 29-Jan. 4 because we had a friend getting married 25 minutes away in Ocho Rios. The owner and property manager were both VERY responsive when we reached out with questions about the property. We had quite a bit of rain and clouds, so needed to use their back up system for hot water as the solar panels can't compete with cloud cover. The absolute best part of our stay was Chef Chris! Don't hesitate to include him in your stay. He made fantastic local cuisine and was very accommodating. The community area with the shared pool isn't fancy but was inviting and a nice place to spend time in between rain showers.

A Perfectly Situated Spot in Paradise

Firstly, my interactions with Gary were very positive. He reached out early to say he was happy to host my family and kept in contact up until, and throughout our time at his property. This property is well situated, not only on the island, but within the gated community as well. There’s a great eatery and concert venue practically across the street called Plantation Smokehouse. Ocho Rios is only a 20 minute drive, and there are plenty of beaches on the way. Inside the gated community are all the amenities you could want. The gym is practically behind the house. On arrival we were greeted with newly upholstered furniture which was a pleasant touch. Both our chef Chris and the house keeper greeted us when we got in. We had some excellent meals by chef extraordinary Chris McFarlane who cooked up anything and everything I wanted, including some boiled bananas I picked from the banana tree in the backyard. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and helped me look for deals on fresh fish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wanted to take family or friends on a trip to Jamaica. My whole family had a great experience.

Very nice stay

Our stay at the Villa was very nice. The owner Gary Dixon stayed in good communication with us before and throughout the trip. The house is clean the beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is very safe and secure. There were a few improvements needed, but I voiced them directly to Gary Dixon and he was extremely gracious and receptive. The house staff is very friendly. Mrs. Brown was great and chefJulian was a plus, he cooked us a delicious meal on our first night. Thank you for a very nice stay, my family and I enjoyed celebrating the New Year’s there.

Richmond estates in the fall, loved our master chef Chris MacFarlane

We hired Master Chef Chris MacFarlane for the 7 day stay and requested for native island meals. He was the best! We shopped together and had salt fish, Ackee, bammy, breadfruit, ox tail, Beef bone soup, jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried fish and crab, yams, green bananas, plantain and more veggies. He would cook it up so scrumptiously.. The accommodations were not quite like the vrbo ad. The jacuzzi didn't work, the electricity was inconsistent one night, there was no hand soap in the house, the outdoor lounging areas was non existent, there was no laundry dryer only outdoor lines ( not always useful in the rainy days we were there), the sofas are dated and lumpy, there was no hot water for bathing only Luke warm, and if you are particular about your pillows I suggest bring your own. The decorative pillows on the bed were too big to sleep on. The living room TV speakers are blown and there is an x box but no way to plug it in to use it. The fans on the front veranda and the master bedroom did not work.

Recommended and will visit again.

This was a great place to stay. The house was beautiful along with the neighborhood. Couple issues though. One, the hammock was unfortunately missing and two, the pool table didnt work. Both were what really drew me into the renting the villa. The pool table I kept getting different answers on whether its operable or not and the hammock, the maintenance couldn't replace it until the following week, which was weird, its just the netting. Above all, it was restful, and the gym and pool passed the time. Will be back again but hopefully the pool table and hammock are available.

Would Give 10 Stars If Possible!

The property is upon first glance very clean and well kept. Upon entering the home you can see that it is immaculate. The owners and business manager go out of their way to make sure that guest feel welcomed and accommodated. Any concerns that we voiced were quickly responded to and they were very kind as well. I would recommend this place 10x over to anyone looking for a safe and clean accommodation while in Jamaica. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Girls Trip 22

Tropical Escape home is the perfect hideaway while exploring our Island paradise. Ideally situated in the garden parish of St. Ann, ten minutes drive from Ocho Rios, Dunn’s River Falls. My first impression was wow this place is really nice! It is well kept, spacious and in a quiet neighbourhood was clean and grounds beautifully cared for like a hidden gem the home was well equipped for 6 ladies. Also equipped with 24 hour security in a gated community the property is like the pictures shown!! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the pool was nice to have. Gary the property manager went above and beyond making us feel welcome. Janiece the house manager greeted us at the door with a smile she was very good at her job. If you have a reason to (or even if you don't), arrange to have Miss Bev Chief cook a meal for you. You have to be specific when placing your food menu otherwise, She is fantastic. Ask for the jerk chicken! Chavon the driver took great care of us and helped us out with info and knowledge of the area wonderful driver to and from airport NO PROBLEM!!! So glad we didn't stay at a resort as we was able to have a more personal conversations and learned about the culture! We will be back! We arrived stressed, and left happy!!!

Great Family Home

Rented this villa for my mom on our 1st visit back to Jamaica since the pandemic - check in process was smooth and easy information was sent to us timely - Ms Brown and Janiece were easy to get a hold of, very pleasant whenever we contacted them especially Janiece we made multiple calls because we had multiple relatives coming to visit my mom and she was on point every single time...BIG UP to the team at this villa - we lacked nothing - we had rented 2 other villa in the community because we were a group of 17 but we all gathered at this home to eat and just be together then we left and went to our separate villa after a belly full of food, laughter and great company. Lots of seating options in this villa , some were outside , some inside , loved the yard - would have been over the moon if the Jacuzzi was working but wasn't a deal breaker as the pool was walking distance and we were on the road doing activities for most of the daytime so it wasn't missed - I think the house is solar powered which is a plus as when the other villas were experiencing low voltage and I needed to give my 2year old a breathing treatment with the nebulizer - my mom's villa was the only villa that was able to power the nebulizer - so my son could get his treatment which we were so relieved and grateful for. Mr. Gary even texted me to ensure all was well with the villa - my mom wants this to be her villa on her visits - So to Mr. Dixon and his team - kudos Job well done - we felt at home and most importantly my mom loved her stay and so did the rest of family that travelled with us even those who were local that came to visit. absolutely superb. Thank you for making it a memorable visit for our family.

I’m lost for words

My first time Renting this house was good, it was Like home away from home Except having my company accused of stealing baking soda smh out of the refrigerator but my second visit was not pleasant I was miserably hot. The lights nor air conditioning worked most of my 9 days there. I talked to the owner Gary Dixon who reassured me He would give me 7 free days because of them changing from regular Electricity

Property Manager was not made aware of our arrival so the house was not prepared for us.

The house was not aired and made fresh for our arrival. The refrigerator needed a new filter; No ice maker; Promised blender was not given; towels, sheets, pillow cases were not in order and properly placed for us to access. Grill was not accessible. House was not setup with toilet paper access in each bathroom.

Great way to experience Jamaica and not just the resort pool

Gary and Janiece were awesome host. The property was immaculate. Janiece and Gary was very responsive. Ms Beverly & Mr Mark took us to the market to shop. What an awesome experience. Ms Beverly’s cooking was on point. Mr Mark was the highlight of the trip from showing us the spots to get good food to guiding us through ways to get the best experience. He took us to go horseback riding on the beach with kids to a private massage to celebrate our 20th anniversary. He helped us with exchanging US to Jamaican dollars and where to get the best deals! If you are coming to Jamaica and you don’t want to be stuck on the resort but want to experience Jamaica this is the way to do it! Great team! I will be referring and thank you for operating with excellence.

Home away from Home

On June 11, 2021 I visited Jamaica for my wedding, And with the help of some people it turned out to be wonderful. First of All I'll like to say Hats off to Mr. Gary Dixon for treating me like family, My stay was like home away from home. Margaret also(an employee for Mr. Dixon) was a sweetheart. I really can't complaint about anything, I also would like to thank Mr. Dixon for introducing me to "Plantation Smokehouse" even though it took me days to get over there Lol, But I finally made it and the food was fabulous. I plan on staying there again in the near future. Again I would like to say Thank you to(the entire crew) for making my 8 day adventure one to remember :)
