About this space
Come relax at Big Red which sits at the base of Mt. Kearsarge situated between Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mt! Enjoy all the seasons here with 20 min to ski mountains and 10 min to the lake!

After a long day of skiing, take a dip in the hot tub or sit by the fire!

New London is a must visit town! This charming town is full of shops, restaurants, and beautiful Mountain View’s!
The space
Come and enjoy all that The Big Red Cottage has to offer. Just minutes away from charming downtown New London which has restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, and so much more. Perfect for a family vacation, weekend getaway, or a cozy home base while exploring everything NH has to offer.

This 4 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom is very spacious and is the perfect accommodation for any family. For your next competitive family game night, we have a pool table, dart board, and many board games. There is two large living room areas with comfortable couches and TV’s when you want to relax after a day of exploring. Speaking of relaxing, we have an all season hot tub that fits 6 adults.

It’s great location is 20 minutes to Mount Sunapee, 10 minutes to Lake Sunapee, 20 minutes to Ragged Mountain, and 10 minutes to Winslow State Park, 10 minutes to Wadleigh State Park.

The Big Red Cottage is a peaceful and fun NH getaway!
Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire Big Red Cottage as well as free WiFi, parking, full use of your own washing machine and dryer. Outside, guests have access to their private hot tub, fire pit and grill as well as all outdoor areas which include the patio (front / back) and expansive 6 acres where you are free to explore.
Other things to note
The barn and the chicken coop are off limits. There is an additional apartment in the barn that the hosts stay in. The barn may or may not be occupied during your stay. Guests are not allowed to park in front of the barn.

During the winter months, plowing and shoveling will be provided throughout your stay. Please be aware we do live on a dirt road and suggest a vehicle with 4 wheel drive.

Wonderful stay outside New London

We had a lovely stay at the Big Red cottage. The home is modern and beautifully furnished and in a serene wooded setting. Everything went very smoothly and we very much enjoyed relaxing both inside and out on a Sunapee ski weekend. I highly recommend the home and hope to stay there again soon.

Perfect getaway for large group!

We had a great time at this property with friends and their families! The house has everything you need! 25 min drive to sunapee mountain. Great location.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Big Red Cottage. There was plenty of space for two families (10 ppl total). The beds were very comfortable. The house had everything we needed and the hot tub was a great bonus at the end of a long day of skiing. We'd definitely stay there again!

Hi, I'm Austin!

A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Texas where it's sunny and hot 7-9 months out of the year. Decided to exchange the 7-9 months for winter instead! Currently I work as a Sales Engineer in Boston and I love every bit of it!

Love being in the outdoors experiencing all that New Hampshire has to offer. I've stayed in many short term rental properties and got to meet some incredible people, so I thought why not open our home so people could have the same experience.
