Awful Communication
Prior to my stay, I received a welcome note from the host. I sent three messages, each on seperate days asking a question about packing. On the third day (Day I was leaving) they finally answered and said they had problems with the VRBO app. They asked me what time I would be arriving to the property and I told them 2pm. There was no other coments.
I arrived early with my flight and messaged them ASAP that I landed. I arrived at the property at 1:45. The code I was told did not work, I waited for over 30 minutes (approximately 2:30pm) sitting outside in the heat with all my bags. I called their 'host number' and sat on hold for over 20 minutes. I sent approximately 7-8 messages through the VRBO App. I then contacted VRBO and they also could not get ahold of the host. There were other tennats who appeared to have been there for a day or so, who saw me sitting outside with my luggage and told me they have not been able to get ahold of the hose and their door would not lock so they couldn't leave their VRBO. After I and VRBO could not get ahold oh the host, I did not feel safe and booked rooms at a hotel. The host contacted me after 5pm and told me he had lost his phone. I told him I would like a refund as I booked a hotel now for a weekend. The host refused to give me a refund even though I had zero ways to contact him. My door told me it was locked until it was reset-3 hours and I had nowhere to go in 87 degrees with my luggage. No good contact info and a fake number listed
