Cozy and warm upper level suite with huge windows looking east to the sunrise and moon rise across Lake Superior. French doors to the bedroom with queen bed, full bath, and there's a private deck over looking the private gravel beach. The beach is available for rock hunting and an evening fire. Coffee maker and microwave are ready to help start your day. You can walk anywhere for breakfast, lunch or diner in beautiful downtown Grand Marais. Leave the car parked and roam the charming city for shopping and hiking excursions in this charming North Shore retreat. Message studio is located in the same building, and a Finish Sauna is just up the beach, to truly relieve your stress.

This clean, upstairs property facing Lake Superior with it's private beach and little deck with beautiful sunrise views was great! The location was perfect for walking anywhere in town and was a close drive to trails. The bed was comfortable and there was a refrigerator and microwave but no TV. We'd stay here again

We stayed at this property several years ago and it was fine. This stays we noticed that the property is getting dated as follows:* the linens are old - bed sheets, pillows, towels* two bath towels are not enough if staying more than one night* couch is dirty* windows on the lake side are very hard to open and close and difficult to lock* over priced for the dated look and feel* We still like the view

This is the perfect home base for enjoying Grand Marais and the beauty of the North Shore! The property was clean and the host was attentive. Our time was peaceful and private.

Great location on the lake and in town for easy walks to shop and eat. Recommendations for the host would be to get a fire pit for the lake, a less firm mattress and clean or replace the sofa (the fabric was a bit discolored due to use). With that all said, we’d stay here again.

Nice, clean place. Its right in the middle of all the "action " of Grand Marais, but once you get inside or on the cute deck, it instantly feels private and quiet.

The VRBO was clean, plenty of room for two and right on the water. Beautiful view!The weather was hot and humid. As a second story unit it was extremely warm, with one box fan available, making it difficult for sleeping.

Lake Superior Getaway

The property reminded me of staying in an up north cabin. The best part was being right on the beach with that beautiful Lake Superior view.

Perfect location - This VRBO has its own private beach access with direct views of Lake Superior, as well as very close walks to look at the harbor and lighthouse. You also have local restaurants, cafes, gift/clothing shops, and even a brewery in walking distance. Not mention World’s Best Donut is basically your next door neighbor. If you have or haven’t been to Grand Marais, this is a great stay.

Great location!!

This little accommodation fit us well. Food is near by (World's Best Donuts on the block as well as restaurants and coffee shops). So no need to cook. It was cool weather while we were there, so we turned on heat and were toasty warm. Shower was great! Beautiful view and owner was very responsive.
