Hot Tub
Please shower before use. Please don’t put any liquid/solid soap into it. Any extra cost occurring will be charged. The guests will take all liability and responsibility for their own safety.

Security Camera
We have two Ring security cameras located on the front porch facing the front gate for safety and monitoring of our cleaning and maintenance services. There are no cameras in the home or facing any amenity area outside.

Plumbing
All houses in Joshua Tree are on a Septic Tank system. For this reason, nothing can be flushed down the toilet except toilet paper. Following these guidelines will avoid problems with the plumbing. If it is determined that the pipes have been clogged due to misuse, a $200 repair fee will be charged. Thank you for your cooperation.

Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.

Pets
Your dog is welcome with a one-time pet fee of $50. Please alert us in advance if you intend to bring a pet. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per booking.

Road Conditions
Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain

Good Experience

The property itself met expectations. It’s clean and well kept. Perhaps consider a refresh your bathroom towels as the ones on site were clearly worn and stained from use. The exterior cushions on the patio furniture could use a refresh but otherwise useable!

Anniversary road trip

I sort of picked this property randomly. My husband is a big stargazer so I was looking for somewhere we could do it from our own property. This was the perfect spot! I didn’t realize how far out of town this was but it was absolutely worth it. It was so quiet and peaceful. You could hear the coyotes at sunset and absolute nothing at night. Perfection. Probably the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in as well. Great communication with the host.

Cool little desert pad.

Just as advertised! Great visit out to the middle of nowhere. Fantastic place to go and unplug from your phones and screens. Close to really cool art, shops, and food if you want to wander. Star gazing is top notch out here. If i was going to tell you to bring anything else, bring a few records and a telescope.

Nice Getaway

Lovely Getaway! Easy check-in and easy directions. Outdoor space was safe for our small 12 lb pup to explore and run. Our favorite accomadation was the hot tub situated underneath the stars.

Great desert getaway

My dog and I have a lovely stay at Horizon Haven! It's a very thoughtfully decorated, picturesque home in the perfect location for getting out and relishing in some peaceful, private space in the middle of the desert. Excellent stargazing. Highs hit 100+ degrees during my stay, so I enjoyed the AC :) Last but not least the hosts were very kind and communicative. 10/10!

Amazing!

This was our first time in TwentyNine Palms - their spot was a perfect place to enjoy our long weekend. Super dog friendly and so cute. We loved listening to their records, playing games, stargazing - and everything about the house.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway

Perfect spot for the getaway we needed. The host was great and quick to respond to any questions we had. The inside was beautifully decorated and cleaned. Bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Property felt very private and safe. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic spa like experience in the desert

Horizon Haven is a perfect cozy desert cabin with everything you need. I honestly think it is the best use of one room I have ever experienced- with a luxurious bathroom, roomy kitchen, and spa like experience outside including a hot tub, lounging and stargazing. I was there to visit the desert and collect fossils which was in close proximity. The guests were responsive and helpful. I visit often and look forward to returning to this lovely home away from home.

Holiday in the desert

Loved this cozy spot for a holiday getaway. Excellent and thorough communication. Space is accurately described and matches the pictures. The fire pit is awesome and a perfect place for some much needed R&R.

Happiness At Horizon Haven

We didn't want to leave! :) We booked this place for a sister retreat as part of a longer trip through the South West. Once we were there we wished we would have just stayed the entire week. The views are outstanding and it is so peaceful. We played lots of scrabble at dawn, watching sunrises and spent night time gazing at stars. This is an excellent location and close to everything while still being very private. The house set up was perfect for us and the back patio was where we spent all our time. Would highly recommend this place. Finding the local (even late at night) was simple, and getting familiar with the house was make super easy by the book and videos. Thanks Again! We will be back without a doubt!!

Perfect cozy getaway

This property is beautiful and so is the scenery surrounding it. It was great to eat out meals outside with that beautiful dessert backdrop. It was a perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking at JT.

Spectacular Little Desert Home

Horizon Haven is everything it claims to be and more. It is the perfect desert retreat for anyone trying to relax and enjoy beautiful views. Upon our arrival, the house was very clean and came fully stocked with all the essentials. Some of our favorite amenities were the hot tub, board games, and the record player. It was the perfect home to come back to after a long day of hiking, and we wish we could have stayed a few more nights. Thank you, Will, for being a great host!

Perfect Desert Getaway

What a perfect spot! Its secluded enough to enjoy the desert while having good access to the National Park. The house was ideal for our couples getaway with everything we needed! The record player is such a nice touch to make for relaxing nights cooking at the house! The star gazing was incredible as well. We want to visit Joshua Tree again and we will definitely book here when we do!

Good getaway

My spouse and I were passing through and decided it would be a fun getaway stop to break up our long drive home. It was so nice and relaxing. Hot tub was great after our drive that day and the kitchen was perfect for cooking up our own dinner :).

A great desert home

Loved staying at Will’s desert retreat. The home is small but has everything you need to getaway and enjoy some relaxing desert times. Photos are accurate, the interior aesthetic is wonderful, and the outdoor areas make for a great space to watch the sunset. The dirt road to the home was fine in a sedan but I recommend not exploring off the Google maps route — even tho the app says there’s a road, that may not actually be the case. The north entrance of the park is also super close. Would definitely stay here again!
