El Molino del Conde is a beautiful big Andalucian mill set in large secluded grounds bordered by a stream. Excellent access to Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and Malaga. A beautiful location for family holidays, reunions and celebrations, El Molino del Conde has been lovingly restored to retain the character of the big old mill house and offer a high level of comfort. There are high beamed ceilings, comfortable bedrooms and large luxurious bathrooms. The big Old Bakery kitchen is designed to make your holiday easier - with restaurant-grade cooker, big fridge and dishwasher. Catering is also available.

El Molino del Conde lies in 3 acres of private grounds where you can relax .... and where children entertain themselves happily for hours! You'll find fresh eggs from the chickens, fresh herbs from the kitchen garden, pomegranate, fig, almond, cherry and walnut trees, sun terraces, the private swimming pool, large shaded dining areas, picnic spots next to the stream, a vine-covered courtyard and large grounds where children can run around safely.

For larger groups, a detached annex offers a further 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms giving a total of 13 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

El Molino del Conde has a multi-sports court in the gardens - a 3/4 size tennis court also suitable for badminton and volleyball - and a heated studio suitable for yoga, Pilates, art classes an indoor cinema.

The Old Mill , was an amazing place to stay with our family , there is so much space and private areas for everyone, lots to do , and of course the beautiful pool , and a bonus on top of everything , The ladies from the village catered for us on 3 evenings. we didn’t have to lift a finger. they did everything from shopping , preparing, cooking , serving and clearing up , absolutely fantastic and the food was to die for !! Kimberley was at the end of the phone if you needed any help , and responded immediately, ,she made sure everything ran smoothly, thank you so much ! would not hesitate to return in the future !

Geweldige vakantieweek met de familie

Wij hebben een heerlijke familieweek gehad in jullie huis. Vooral het zwembad met de mooie tuin rondom en diverse terrassen om heerlijk te zitten. Het huis zelf is erg gezellig en heeft genoeg mooie slaapkamers en badkamers. Veel speelgoed boeken en spelen om te doen. Het contact met Kimberley was erg fijn zij regelde snel de dames voor de catering en was makkelijk en erg lekker. Kortom het was super. Frank en Marja.

Zeer sfeervol familiehuis

Voor het 60 jarig huwelijk van mijn ouders hebben wij met hun kinderen en kleinkinderen (een groep van 19p) een week verbleven in dit fantastische huis. Een zeer sfeervol huis met mooie kamers en voldoende badkamers. De plek van het huis was heerlijk, heel groen en sereen met fluitende vogeltjes die je in de ochtend wakker maakten. Het huis ligt met wat hoogteverschil waardoor je veel trappetjes hebt. We hebben ook veel plezier gehad van het speelveld waarvan wij vooraf dachten dat het een tennisveld was. Dat was het enige misleidende van de foto's op de website: daar staat nl een mooi tennisveld met duidelijke lijnen afgebeeld dus wij hadden alle tennisspullen meegenomen maar daar was het veld niet geschikt (meer) voor. Maar voor volleybalwedstrijden meer dan geschikt! Het contact met Kimberley was heel prettig. Via de whatsapp was zij goed te bereiken en werden onze vragen snel beantwoord. Ook de ladies van de village die voor ons kookten waren fantastisch en echt een hele fijne toevoeging aan de beleving van deze week. Kortom we hebben hier een geweldige week gehad en zullen hier met heel veel mooie herinneringen aan terug denken. Dank daarvoor.

Just superb

El Molino del Conde is a beautiful retreat full of character which could not have worked better for our group of 18 adults. The booking via Nick and Amanda, the owners, was straightforward and the local manager Kimberley could not have been more helpful in terms of practical local knowledge and helping to organise transport, including a small coach to the Alhambra, catering and even a classical guitarist accompanied by flamenco dancers post an amazing birthday lunch! The setting is beautiful and the property with its extensive grounds allows for a large group to come together but also has plenty of quiet shady corners to just be. I pretty sure the whole group would recommend the caters who we asked to cook for us 3 times during our 6-night stay; the food they produced was incredible and added to what was already a wonderful experience. Thank you

Une pure merveille !

Notre groupe de 10 adultes et 8 enfants a été extrêmement bien accueilli. Nous avons tous passé un magnifique séjour, villa spacieuse, très bien aménagée et tellement confortable et charmante. Les jeux et les activités ne manquent pas, pour les petits et les grands. Kimberley a veillé sur notre confort pendant tout notre séjour et est restée très disponible. Encore un grand merci à elle !!! N'hésitez pas à demander la préparation des repas, les cuisinières vous feront découvrir les spécialités de l'Andalousie !

Absolutely fantastic place. Authentic and charming

A really special place. Nestled amid olive tree clad hills and surrounded by friendly, historic villages. The villa was delightful. Superbly equipped with masses of space. The local ladies who catered for our birthday celebration were amazing. The meal was fabulous and the manager Kimberely great. She met us and gave us a great overview and was on hand with advice whenever needed. Simply amazing. Quite simply, didn't want to leave. 12/10. Thank you

Perfect Trip to Spain!

We rented El Mulino for my father's 70th birthday and had a wonderful time! The pictures of the house do not do it justice - it's an incredibly charming, special place that's both comfortable and authentic. I looked for a rental house for a long time and don't think I could have found one better for what we wanted --- room for a large group, quiet, Spanish style and in a beautiful setting. We also had Gracia (cook) come every night and I can't recommend her enough. It was so nice to go explore sites every day and come home to a perfect meal -- the best food we had in Spain. The house manager, Kimberly, is also outstanding and was very helpful with all of our requests and questions. I hope to come back again one day!

Fantastic spot and Wonderful hosts

My family of 21 stayed at this beautiful villa in early May. We also rented another property nearby to make sure we were all comfortable. It was far better than we expected. The villa was spotless and fully equipped for a large group like ours. We have done these family trips many times in many countries and this one was the best of the lot. Nick and Amanda were wonderful hosts and made sure everything was just so. We all would highly, highly recommend the El Molino del Conde for large group travel. Except that it is against the family trip rules, we would return in a heartbeat. I may have to get the rule changed.

Le calme au milieu des oliviers

15 jours au milieu des oliviers et de nulle part : calme et repos assurés! Nous avons logé à 23 personnes (10 adultes et 13 enfants). La maison est très agréable et c'est le paradis pour les enfants.... un jardin qui permet de pratiquer toutes sortes de sports, de faire des cabanes et d'énormes parties de cache-cache au milieu des animaux (poules, chats, canards). La configuration permet à chacun de trouver un endroit à son goût. Le jardin regorge de fruits (figues, pêches) et d'herbes fraîches pour cuisiner (menthe, ciboulette, basilic...) et des oeufs coques pour le petit déjeûner. Le domaine est idéalement placé pour visiter les villes de Ronda, Cordoue, Grenade, Marbella (Séville un peu loin). Bravo à Nick et Amanda (les propriétaires très sympathiques!) pour le travail de restauration du moulin.

Truly wonderful holiday in a location and house you'll never forget.

We spent a wonderful week with family and friends in august in this beautiful house. El Molino has more than you could expect from a family holiday home. A spacious, beautifully presented home with character, in a stunning location, with so many personal touches (a huge library of books, toys for children, bird books for identifying the enormous variety of birds in the gardens, a treehouse, chickens who supply fresh eggs each day, herb garden, fruit trees (you should try the figs), well equipped kitchen, commercial grade cooker and fridge...and much more.) It's a great property for large groups to scoailise together but still offers many quiet terraces for a peaceful escape and a quiet 5 minutes. Nick and Mandy as hosts are incredibly knowledgable, able to direct your thinking to great walks, bike rides, drives, local towns, great restaurants and local culinary delights, the wonderful alhambra or mesquita in cordoba, They appear embedded in local life and are able to help you get the most out of your stay. We couldn't recommend this house more highly, it's a truly stunning place and a holiday here will help you connect with everything that's good about Spain, Andalucia, family and friends.

A perfect place for the perfect civil ceremony!

Lisa and I were searching for a place in Andalucia to hold our Civil Partnership with family and friends in Summer 2009 and came across El Molino Del Conde on the Internet. From the very first contact we made with Nick and Amanda they simply could not be more helpful. We told them what we were looking for and they answered all of our questions and more! A few weeks later we visited El Molino for a day to double-check that it would fit our needs. Nick and Amanda provided us lunch, welcomed us with open arms, showed us all around the house and the surrounding area, and were incredibly helpful in providing plenty of information. From that point we knew our week would be special. In the run up to our stay Nick and Amanda helped us pre-arrange food for the civil ceremony (from the local ladies in the village), a spanish guitarist (a local music teacher), and spa treatments. They even bought extra tables and chairs to ensure we had all that we would need. Needless to say our week long stay with close family and friends and our special day, in particular, could not have been more wonderful and created a lifetime of memories. The beautiful and rustic mill and bakery accommodated us all perfectly. We spent days by the pool and evenings by the barbecue. The peace and tranquility just washes over you. The beautiful stream is a lovely spot to relax, and practice speeches in private! The day of our civil ceremony was perfect. Nick and Amanda arrived early and helped us to set everything up, and stayed with us to ensure everything ran smoothly, and to help us celebrate. We have the most beautiful photographs of the day. We laughed, we cried, we danced and we loved every minute. There are few places in this world, and even fewer people, who help you to create the most perfect memories. El Molino is that place, and Nick and Amanda are certainly the people. If you ever have an opportunity to go to El Molino, you must go! You will not regret visiting this most special of places.

The perfect spot for a celebration

We rented El Molino del Conde as a group of 18 last summer to celebrate a 40th birthday. Not only was it a beautiful spot, nestling in the olive groves and hills of andalucia, with a good-sized pool, lovely bedrooms and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen - it was also the perfect place for a celebration, with several dining spots that could seat 20+ people and no near neighbours to annoy with our music! In fact, although a few of us ventured out for day trips to Granada and Cordoba, the majority of our group were content to stay at El Molino and just soak up the peace and atmosphere. Though we took turns to cook (there are supermarkets within a short drive and the garage nearby for emergency supplies) we were delighted to take up the owners' offer of arranging for the "ladies from the village" to come over and cook us an authentic paella - it meant we could all relax and let them take over the kitchen. I can't remember exactly how much it cost, but it wasn't expensive - and they made a vegetarian version too. Nick and amanda, the owners, have provided for all kinds of requirements - they put cots in the appropriate bedrooms (and advised on which bedrooms were best for young children as there are a couple of narrow steep staircases in the older buildings), they leave lots of advice in the house on everything from good waks locally, the best places to visit, and where all the games are kept (we played boules and badminton as well as holding diving competitions in the pool). They are there if you need them but are happy to leave you to be completely independant. It's definitely a place I would choose to stay in again - just waiting for the next big birthday now!

June 2010 - once again what a marvellous experience being at El Molino del Conde, after so many stays over the past six years it is still a delight to return each time. The location of the house in such a peaceful valley surrounded by olive groves is perfect for relaxation and more importantly for us provides an atmosphere to enhance creative talents. For writers, cooks or painters it’s an ideal spot to stay in this beautiful restored mill with its many diverse places for dining in a large group – on the terrace by the pool, or by candlelight in the courtyard or dining room together. Appreciated as well are the many places for solitary contemplation, mentoring or intimate conversations, on the upper covered terrace, by the stream, on the bench by the cypresses, or in one of the gazebos. The kitchen is fabulous for culinary creativity too! Our group particularly enjoyed the pool for breaks from their artistic endeavours. Once again we found El Molino ideal for visiting Granada, Cordoba and Ronda. We have been so lucky to find Nick and Amanda and their lovely house, nothing is ever too much trouble to make sure we have everything we need to make sure our courses are a success. Looking forward to our next return!
